Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka began its journey as a Private University in the year 2013 to provide higher education for building career of students in fields of Management, Science and Engineering. The University was established as a result of an act in State of Karnataka, India. Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) Trust sponsors the University. The University keeps its prime focus on UG and PG Education, Consultancy, Training, Research, Skill and Leadership development. It offers various courses in Dental Surgery, Engineering, Pharmacy, Commerce, Design, Management and Science, Hotel Management. The management of University of Applied Sciences is currently working under Dr. M. R. Jayaram serving as chancellor.
The UGC approved University holds the pride of being ranked among the best 100 universities in India merely in two years after its establishment. The University ratings are ‘four stars’ as per the Karnataka State University’s new Rating Framework. The institute owns a well-stocked library with an area of 16,169 sq. ft. and a massive collection of 33,000 plus books in various spheres of study like Engineering and Technology, Mathematical and Physical Science, Art and Design, Pharmacy, Dental Science, Hospitality Management and Catering. There are many journals and e-journals too present for students and staff members. Students can take admission to the University for which they will need to fill the registration form. It conducts an entrance exam for taking admission of the students.
