The non-profit AP Goyal Charitable trust is run by the successful entrepreneur Rajesh Goyal and plays a vital role guiding this world-class abode of learning achieve the objective of providing quality education to masses. Set in the picturesque Himalayas, the university draws attention from national as well as international students. More than four hundred students from nineteen countries have chosen this world-class learning institution to date. The university has successfully established formal student-exchange programmes with several international universities; namely, China Agricultural University, IOBQ (Delhi), University of Lodz, University of Maribor, Mogilev State A. Canara Bank and Bank of Baroda have opened their branches and ATMs at this campus. The university has formal ties with the HP Football Association and the Indira Gandhi Sports Centre. Horse riding, river rafting, skiing, zip line, rappelling, Burma bridge, and jummaring are offered to interested students with the help of various adventure sports associations.
