Bachelor of Education

B.Ed. – Bachelor of Education

B.Ed. is an undergraduate course which is divided into four academic semesters. This educational program is exclusively designed with the objective of churning out skilled teachers. It is necessarily a skill-oriented training course that imparts theory and applied lessons of classroom teaching for the enrolled students. One can go for a full-time, part-time, or a distance education BEd program. However, only those distance education programs which are accredited by the NCTE are given value in the job market. One should not take more than five years to earn the BEd degree via distance education. A typical self-financed BEd course costs thirty to sixty thousand rupees.

Teaching

Making a Difference

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was the first vice-president and also the second president of India, whose birthday is celebrated as the Teachers’ Day in the subcontinent on 5Th September every year. He used to believe that “teachers should be the best minds in the country.”

The BEd is one such course which prepares a person to manage the solemn duties of a teacher diligently and responsibly. This course is scheduled to go through a radical overhaul. Soon, a four-year-long program will replace the present format, and the students will be able to enroll themselves in that course after finishing high school (10+2).
