My 3 years at MAIT as a CSE-AIML student has been great in terms of my exponential learning curve in Computer Science. I chose MAIT because of its strong reputation and for providing ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. Many may don't know that attendance in the college is very flexible which helps students work and learn practical skills required in the Technical industry apart from the college curriculum. Additionally, MAIT's location in Delhi-NCR makes it a hub for educational and corporate opportunities, which was another reason for my choice. From my experience, I have seen that MAIT's exposure with tech-companies is far more than the colleges in Pune.

MAIT offers B.Tech courses in following streams: Computer Science (CSE) along with specialisations in Machine learning and Data Science, Information Technology (IT + ITE), Electronics and Communication (ECE), Electronics and Electrical (EEE), and Mechanical Engineering. The basic eligibility criterion to get admission in any one of these is JEE Mains. Moreover, the college also offers options to take admission through management quota. To admit for the counseling of the college, one needs to enroll in GGSIPU counselling.

The faculty members are highly qualified with many years of teaching experience. Most importantly, teachers are highly approachable and genuinely invested in student's success. Even if you are short on attendance, you can approach teachers and seek their help. Moreover, they also understand that apart from the theory knowledge, a CS student must have the practical technical skills to crack the interviews for Big-Tech companies.

MAIT ranks at top in GGSIPU affiliated colleges and we do have a placement committee known as Career Development Cell (CDC). Placements before the recession were pretty good which includes both on-campus and off-campus placements. To give a brief idea about the placements, in 2023 Atlassian offered internships to 3rd year students from which later they were offered PPO of 60 Lakh CTC. A company named ZS associates also offers a package of 13 lakh every year. Currently in 2024, until now Accenture, Infosys, D.E Shaw and many more companies have visited the campus, which is very good taking the recession into consideration. Placement stats are pretty well in MAIT.

We have a boy’s hostel in our campus, which provides excellent facilities like fully-furnished rooms (AC/Non-AC) with different sharing options, such as single sharing, double sharing or 4-sharing. The boy’s hostel is within the campus area. Moreover, the mess / food facilities in this hostel are pretty good and provide multiple food options. The hostel students have access to the campus playground, badminton Court, basketball court, and many such extracurricular activities. The hostel students can also access the library present in the campus till 6 PM.

Campus size is not that large as compared to other colleges like NSUT and DTU, and is around 15 to 20 acres. We have eight academic blocks, excluding the admin block. These eight academic blocks houses, various departments for each of the branches. We also have a huge auditorium just opposite to the admin block where multiple cultural activities and pre-placement talks are arranged. The college has a playground area, a badminton court, a tennis lawn and a volleyball court too. There are in total four small canteens available across the campus area, which is a pretty decent place to hang out with friends.

Campus life in MAIT is very enjoying and fun, especially when you are a part of multiple societies. Whether you're passionate about coding, robotics, cultural activities or sports, we have societies for everything. I think the societies have also played a very important role in my campus life and have helped me develop soft skills like leadership, teamwork and communication. MAIT arranges fest in the campus every year. This year in 2024, we had a fest named Anugoonj, where Raftaar was invited to perform.
