I finished my course in GEHU in 2020, the year remembered for all wrong reasons. Luckily before the Covid, our farewell function was done otherwise would have had many regrets. I did my BBA from GEHU and mind you the campus was smoking hot. Not many universities might have same sex ratio in them but at GEHU, it was 50-50. GEHU was at a distant from my home but the fun of travelling in university bus and then leading a campus life that will remain the most entertained part of my life was something that can’t be put in words entirely.

BCA was not that tough a course as doing BCA from here means, you will have all the time in the world to explore. By explore, I mean exploring other possibilities like if you are good at painting, the college will give you a chance to show that to the university and from there you can go places as well. This is because the university has all the sources to make their students achievements reach far and wide. This is just one area that I am saying, likewise, if you have any such talent, you can go places in them as academics at GEHU was not just books but getting involved in other activities too.

I found them quite friendly because I have spent a fair bit of them with them beyond the campus as well. I just loved their approach and the way they made concepts clear so easily. Not all have the ability to teach students even if they are academically the most brilliant ones. The faculty of GEHU was academically brilliant as well as their skills in teaching were unmatched.

BCA students didn’t get placed through campus and we were informed about it from the 1st year itself. I am done with my studies as most students of my batch have opted for M. Tech.

GEHU hostels are hotels. The Marina girls' hostel rooms were huge, and facilitated with top furniture, heaters, geezers and ACs. The fees were slightly higher and some students said even the food wasn’t that great. The Prima Facie was the building and one see that, they will make up their mind to stay at the hostels.

In a small campus we had almost every possible facility. The ground was missing but it was made up with a beautiful indoor sports room separate for boys and girls. The first-year students obviously will not get a chance to play there but come the second year and you can rule that room. The underground cafeteria menu was so amazing that even the hostel students used to skip their mess food and eat there. Sandwiches and coffees of the cafeteria were better than any damn cafeteria of the city. The library was a bit small and for Xerox and all, we had to go to the streets outside the campus. Also, for the fests, we had to go to the Graphic Era Deemed University campus as the facilities like the bigger auditorium and an amphi theatre are there. Even for playing sports, GEHU students can use GEU campus sports ground.

I used to go to the University at least an hour early to sip my poison, coffee. In evening, I used to leave the campus an hour later as I used to have my evening supper with café’s sandwich. That’s how addictive the campus and its cafeteria was. The campus organizes events as and when the students want. There are various societies that are led by the students. There was just one flaw that students had to pay for most of the things they wanted to do. The fee is already high and adding on with such extra charge made many students participation at hold and because of that few students couldn’t even display the skills they have got.
