11th Convocation Ceremony at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur

The Convocation Ceremony was held at the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur to award Graduation Degrees, Ph.D, and Gold Medals to the academic achievers in varied scholastic and related fields. The event marked a commitment of the University in recognising the talents of the students, their discipline, and academic success.

UEM Jaipur: Highlights from the 11th Convocation Ceremony

On 22nd February 2026, the University of Engineering and Management (UEM), Jaipur, organised the 11th Convocation Ceremony. This occasion was held to commemorate the scholastic achievements of the 2025 Batch graduating in a multitude of disciplines like Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Physiotherapy, and Ph.D.

The ceremony was successful, owing to the guidance of the Hon’ble Chancellor Prof. Banani Chakrabarti, and the significant efforts of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Biswajoy Chatterjee & Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satyajit Chakrabarti. The Hon’ble Chancellor, in her addressing speech congratulated the students and focused on enlightening them with the knowledge of main pillars for personal & professional victory which are ethical leadership, civic duty, and persistence.

The event was graced with the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe. He is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and Chairman of National Educational Technology Forum (NETF). Prof. Sahasrabudhe encouraged the graduates to adopt a mindset that elevates their growth and assists them in attaining lifelong skills in his Convocation address.

During the Convocation ceremony, 393 Degrees, 6 Ph.D, and 17 Gold Medals in total were awarded to the students exhibiting their intellectual distinction, discipline, and dedication.

Further, the major highlight of the event was awarding of the Doctor Honoris Causa (Honorary Doctorate) to the dignitary personalities who have pioneering contributions in the fields of Governance, Public Service, Academia, and Industry. By this, UEM Jaipur reinforced its commitment to acknowledging accomplishments, inspirational leadership, and fundamental contribution to the society and nation. 

The list of the Honorary Ph.D awardees includes the following:

• Shri Gopal Krishna Pillai: An eminent former IAS Officer (Kerala cadre) who served as the Union Home Secretary and Secretary of Commerce.
• Shri Mahendra Lal Kumawat: A distinguished former IPS Officer who was the Director General of the Border Security Force.
• Shri Mahendra Khaitan: A renowned Industrialist and Managing Director of Wires & Fabriks. He has a corporate leadership experience of over four decades.
• Shri Samarendu Sarkar: An admired Corporate Leader and former President of Adani Enterprises.
• Dr. Saugata Mitra: A prominent Management professional and Managing Director (MD) of NDDB Dairy Services.
• Prof. Durg Singh Chauhan: A renowned Academician and former Vice-Chancellor of multiple educational Institutions was awarded the Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) Honoris Causa.

To wrap it up, the 11th Graduation Ceremony of the UEM Jaipur was a successful event wherein a total of 416 Degrees, Gold Medals, and Ph.D were awarded to the students and eminent personalities. The ceremony was a combined effort of various administrative heads, including the Hon’ble Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and Pro Vice-Chancellor. It was further honored by the valuable presence and motivation of the Chief Guest, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe.
