February 2026
8th Foundation Day and Graduation Ceremony 2026: 22nd & 23rd February 2026
This was the day of pride, celebration, and unforgettable moments for both students and University. On this day, students were awarded degrees from their respective programs. The motive behind conducting this ceremony was to celebrate academic achievements and milestones.
Tribute to the Jibanananda Das: 17th February 2026
Jibanananda Dibosh, a celebration to provide tribute to the Bengali Poet, Jibanananda Das was successfully hosted at the University. The timeless contribution of the poet towards Bengali literature, seamlessly blending poetry, music, and others were recognised that evening.
Likes, Links & Lies: Internet Safety Unplugged: 17th February 2026
At the University, a Panel Discussion which is ‘Likes, Links & Lies: Internet Safety Unplugged’ was organised by the Department of Psychology. In this discussion, participating panel members shared their insights on internet safety, digital behaviour, responsible online engagement, and psychological well-being in the digital space.
Free Eye Check-up Camp: 11th February 2026
At the Kashipur village, the Department of Student Affairs successfully conducted the Free Eye Check-up Camp. Through this camp, more than 100 villagers were offered free medical consultations from experts. This camp was organised to provide eye-care services to the undeserved rural communities and also create awareness about the same.
AI for Atmanirbhar Bharat: 6th February 2026
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of the Sister Nivedita University organised AI for Atmanirbhar Bharat as a part of the HEI Pre-Summit Engagements towards India AI Impact Summit 2026.
Visual Methods of Social Research: 6th February 2026
Hosted by the Department of Sociology, the University invited the Prof. (Dr.) Dalia Chakraborty, Professor, Department of Sociology, Jadavpur University to deliver a session on the “Visual Methods of Social Research: Contexts, Procedures and Limitations”.
World Cancer Day: 4th February 2026
To create awareness about cancer through a rally and campaign, the program on World Cancer Day under the theme of ‘United by Unique’ was held by the Department of Student Affairs of the University. Also, it was conducted with the help of NCC and NSS in collaboration with HCG Cancer Centre, Newtown.

Intra-Institutional Innovation Hackathon & Innovation Prototype Presentation: 23rd January 2026
At the University, Intra-Institutional Innovation Hackathon & Innovation Prototype Presentation was conducted on National Startup Day. It was organised to promote ideas, creativity, and spirit of entrepreneurship among the students.

Prosenjit Chatterjee, a popular actor visited the SNU Kolkata to inspire students and faculty via an engaging session that celebrates cinema, creativity, and cultural excellence.
