2. Saikhom Mirabai Chanu – Olympic Silver Medallist
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, an Indian Weightlifter won the Olympic Silver Medal in 2020 under the Women’s 49kg category. Saikhom pursued M.A in Clinical Psychology from LPU. Saikhom has been awarded with Padma Shri in 2018 for her contribution to sports by the President of India which is the 4th highest civilian honor in India. Ms. Chanu was the only woman in India who had qualified for Weightlifting in the Paris Olympics 2024 securing 4th position in weightlifting.
