SVMCM Scholarship: Eligibility

Before applying, students should ensure that they meet the following eligibility criteria for availing SVMCM Scholarship:

Must have a Domicile of West Bengal.
Should have below-given minimum score in previously qualifying exam with no year gap:
- For 10+2 & UG Programs: 60% Marks
- For PG Programs: 53% Marks in Honors for General Education & 55% Marks for Engineering Programs.
- For K3 Applicants: 45% Marks (at UG level in Science/ Commerce/ Arts streams).
Applicants’ annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- ‘Not applicable for Kanyashree -K3).
Candidates opting for the SVMCM Scholarship cannot be a recipient of other Government Scholarships or stipend for the same course.

SVMCM Registration 2026: Steps to Register and Apply

Registration Process

The step by step guide to finish the registration process of SVMCM Scholarship is mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the Bangala Uchchashiksha e-governance portal and select the ‘SVMCM Scholarship’ tab. Once the Scholarship page is open, click on the ‘Registration’ button, present at the top right corner.

Step 2: Prior to the registration process, download and read the ‘User Manual’ carefully. After reviewing the instructions, accept the declaration, and click on ‘Proceed’ for registration.

Step 3: In the following step, choose the relevant Directorate based on course and move forward by clicking on the ‘Apply for Fresh Applicants’ button.

Step 4: Then, fill in the registration form by providing information and based on these details, marks, percentages, and total marks from WBBSE, WBCHSE, and WBSCT&VE&SD boards will be auto-filled.

Step 7: Review the complete application, download the application details for reference, and click on ‘Submit Application’. Once submitted, the application cannot be edited unless unlocked by the Head of Institution (HOI).

Note: Additionally, prior to proceeding with the application process, it is important for Kanyashree applicants to authenticate and verify their K3 information.

*For renewal applications, registration is not required. They can directly access the portal with their previous SVMCM ID and password to complete the process by following the same application process.
