To take the NUCAT 2026, it is compulsory for the applicants to have satisfied the requisite eligibility requirements.

The exam conducting body will soon begin the registration for Test 1 of NUCAT 2026. Students will be able to complete the NUCAT Registration 2026 by navigating the official website i.e., ‘nucat.nitte.edu.in’. In order to confirm the candidature for the entrance exam, applicants will be required to pay the application fee of Rs. 1250/- (non-refundable).

Moreover, in case of any rectification in the NUCAT application form, students can send an email regarding the same to the provided email ID within 2 days of submission of the form.

After verifying the registration of the applicants, the conducting authority will send an invitation at the registered email address to create a User Account on the test platform i.e., ‘nucat.codetantra.com’. Candidates are required to create a User Account and then proceed with the slot booking for NUCAT 2026.

On the test platform, students will be able to book the desired slot. Moreover, aspirants who look forward to retaking the exam can book separate slots accordingly during initial slot booking or else, login later and book the same.

Note: Applicants should be aware that they cannot change the slot once it is booked.

NITTE University (conducting body) will conduct 2 mandatory NUCAT Mock Tests 2026. Applicants will have to take the human proctored Mock Test A after booking the slot. The Machine (AI) proctored / Test Platform-based Mock Test B will be conducted based on the exam slot booked by the students. The NUCAT Result 2026 will be declared in the form of a rank list a few days after the exam on the test platform. For students who have reappeared for the NUCAT 2026 exam, the highest score among the retakes will be determined during the merit list preparation.

In case candidates who have appeared for NUCAT 2026 secure the same total marks then, the tie shall be resolved by following the regulations stated by the conducting authority.

The tie-breaking policy for the B.Tech program is stated below:

• At first, inter-se-merit of the students obtaining the same total marks will be considered. In this, applicants’ marks in the Physics section will be evaluated.
• Now, the higher scores of candidates in the Mathematics section will be taken into consideration.
• If the tie still persists then the aspirants will be judged based on their merit marks in the Chemistry section.
• In case of continual tie, the inter-se-merit marks of the applicants in 10^th Standard will be calculated. This will involve the assessment of marks in Science subjects at first.
• At last to break the tie, applicants who have obtained more marks in Mathematics will be given priority.

Students qualifying the NITTE University Common Admission Test will be further required to attend the NUCAT Counselling Process 2026 in person. The counselling process will be held at the NITTE University, NMAM Institute of Technology, and the NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT).

The NUCAT Seat Allotment 2026 to various programs will be done based on merit in NUCAT 2026. Moreover, if aspirants wish to upgrade their specialisation, then they can request for the same during the mop-up round of counselling. The seat through mop-up round will be granted if vacant seats are available.

However, 10% admission seats will be reserved for students who have obtained a valid score in CAT / MAT / XAT / NUCAT, and have qualified Graduation in India but outside Karnataka state.
