I am a 1st year BDS student at KGMC .This is a very prestigious college of India and the only dental college in UP run by the state government. Teaching methodology here is much of practical based that make it unique and interesting. Campus is very beautiful with the artistry of old monuments. Things which made me to choose this college are KGMU is the only college in UP which have a fully functional multi-specialty hospital, KGMU have highest patient flow which provide a great exposure for hand skill, KGMU have all the departments like anatomy physiology and their laboratories which are available for dental students also, and most of the learning is practical so teacher make us to complete things in the college time only so if someone is willing to appear for NEET then they will get enough time.

BDS-Bachelor of dental surgery. This is a 4 year course and 1 year compulsory internship. This course is mainly associated with the study of head and neck and provides dental treatment and aesthetics. Eligibility criteria: must have 17+ age; 10+2with biology as a subject+NEET (National eligibility cum entrance test). Cut-off for general and OBC is 595+ for SC and ST- 460+. There are 10 nominated seats for other states also. Motive of this course is to aware people about dental hygiene which is the most neglected care in India. Provide skills of dental treatment and surgeries.

Faculties are highly qualified and very supportive. A whole team of junior residents and senior residents along with professor is present in every lecture and practical class to help everyone individually. Teachers here are more oriented towards the field based and practical and clinical learning. Professors interact each student during lecture which make class attentive and help in remembering things easily. Senior residents and professors assess regularly by taking viva and subjective tests after every chapter. HODs of every department take a review time to time to have a check on students and teachers.

There is No Placement Cell as such. But students are provided with 1 year compulsory paid internship and 2 year of service bond which is also paid.

Hostel is provided. Hostel rooms are very nice and mess is also very good. Students are provided different hostels in their different years.

Campus has two administrative blocks where admission related queries and admission formalities take place. There is one academic block that is kalam centre. It is a newly structured building with all the facilities. All the theory lectures of every course being conducted there. There are departments for every subject. There are fully functional labs of every subject like haematology lab; anatomy lab; physiology lab; prosthodontics lab and many other labs.

Campus is clean and green and less crowded. It has a convocation centre where all the ceremonies happen. Institute conducts various fests. Hospitals and OPDs have very high patient flow that sometimes make hospitals crowded otherwise campus is very refreshing and near to the many historical monuments. Campus has various sports fields and a swimming pool.
