SIU Noida has a great placement cell, a dedicated faculty and in addition to studies the institute also has numerous add-on programs to keep us occupied. SIU is not just good but the best and to back my thoughts I have reasons as SIU is best in terms of the overall development of students, infrastructure, faculty, and the pedigree. The way college handles its students, the culture, and the environment made me fall for the institute the moment I joined. Symbiosis has its roots from Pune and to expand their territory they invested in building an institution of same standards in Noida and it was in 2010 the institute started. I was from 2014-17 batch and at that time itself the institute started ranking in top at NIRF and also QS global rankings. I knew it that in few years down the line SIU Noida is going to be the top rated institute in Noida for BBA.

Apart from attendance nothing is strict. We just have to attend classes that last 6 hours a day and then we have various other activities to get engaged in. The college has its culture whereby various opportunities are provided through workshops, industrial visits and engaging the students in sports. The college has no reservations if you want to pursue the things of your interest and the college name is such that will help you approach your choice of industry with ease. The institute had a great history of providing not just the CEOs but models and sportsmen as well. They have the same features that they have in their Pune campus and in one of the tours the institute took us to Pune and we competed with their Pune campus. The competition factor be it studies or extra-curricular activities it’s always high in Symbiosis. You have to be at your best to stand-out among other aspiring graduates as every student has something or the other to offer.

Talking about faculty all the members were IIM passed outs and along with teaching experience they also had industrial experience and some of them were indeed industrial experts as well. The best faculty has made the institute the top choice among the students who wants to pursue BBA. All the faculty members gave us a free hand to create communities of their choices and also provided their inputs for the same. On faculty member during the final semester even arranged a video conferencing with none other than Satya Nadela. The faculty members are not just normal ex IIM students but the ones that have their sources.

The placements were satisfactory as 70% students got placed and the rest 30 either failed to clear their exams or were the ones who have decided for higher studies. I was from that 30 but if I wanted I could have had placements from the college. Many real estate sector companies were running through a lean patch and were the ones who hired the maximum students from our batch. Big names like DLF, Adarsh Homes, Parsvanath Developers, and Nagpal Builders were among the ones who hired maximum. Among other companies there were some insurance companies who attended the campus includes Bajaj Allianz and Kotak Old Mutual among many.

At college campus there is just a girl’s hostel. The hostel in a way is quite expensive as including food it costs around Rs. 2 Lakhs a year. Though boys were not allowed in the hostel I know all this as my friends used to stay there and they told me that it’s a dream hostel. The hostel then had 24 rooms and they were in planning to increase the numbers of rooms. The hostel was common for all three courses and exchanging different intellection was evident. The hostel provided 4 meals and the hostel was provided only to the students coming from places other than Delhi NCR.

First of all the location of SIU is prime. Commuting via Delhi metro is easier and the college is at just 700-800 meters away from Electronic City Station metro. Starting with the classrooms they are equipped with PA system and LED projectors. From classrooms let’s shift to labs and there are not 1 but 2 computer labs at the campus. Lab sessions at those computer labs were amazing as I never saw such a facility before. The library had fiction and non-fiction books and you can issue a couple of books at a time. Not just the physical books but at library, we also had access to e-books. The campus had 3 canteens or if I bifurcate there’s 1 Nescafe cafeteria, a proper mess, and a proper restaurant that served many multi-cuisine dishes. The college campus also has started a RWC (Recreation and Wellness Center) that has a gymnasium and also some indoor sports. During our time badminton and volleyball courts were getting ready. There are also elevators and ramps at the campus.

Flipped classrooms, great faculty and some nice human beings who obviously I called friends are some of the salient features of SIU, Noida. The modern day technology is what the college has installed at the campus and everything was way beyond my fascination.
