Decent College - Prafulla Chandra College

Overall Rating
The college is situated near Gariahat, Kolkata which is the best location. I choose because of many reasons, as it has an affordable course fee and its prime location. This college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta (CU) and it has good track record. This College provides courses such as B.com, BA and B.SC.
 

Academics Rating
The process of getting admission in this college is based on the higher secondary boards mark sheet. After the declaration of boards result, students are required to fill up the admission form in the official website of Calcutta University. And based on the Boards percentage, merit list of selected students is released. I choose this college because of its location and course fee.
 

Faculty Rating
There are almost 6-7 faculty members in each semester, and all the faculty members are well qualified and experienced. The faculty members are very much supportive and helpful. They focus more on assessment and projects. And based on these assessments, internal marks are determined before the theory paper. And out 100 marks are for assessment and attendance. And remaining 80 marks are for theory exam.
 

Placement Rating
This college provides placements for very few students.
 

Hostel Rating
There is no hostel facility.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This College has an overall good infrastructure and has playground, library, canteen, etc. The College campus is overall decent and is well maintained. The college is well connected with bus route as it is located near Gariahat Area. There are many activities such as Annual fest, Annual sports events occur in this college.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life in this college is decent. Almost 100 students are present in every semester. There is a college student group which works for the welfare. And the student’s interaction is good. And there is an annual fest in this college, which is very awesome. Overall the campus atmosphere is good. And one can enjoy its college life and make friends.

    I would personally prefer this because being a government college, they have lesser fees, graduation will be completed in 30k, and it's also an evening college, so you can work as well as balance your studies, I am pursuing English honors and I would say the faculty is very good, they take proper offline and online classes whichever is required, the college ambience is also good.     An overall experience in Prafulla Chandra College was superb. As we, all know Prafulla Chandra college was evening college, the classes start at 5:30 PM and end at 9 PM (at night). All the classes will be good and conducted in a timely manner. As a newer student of this college, I got to experience many new things here. My overall experience was good.     It is a very good college with great infrastructure and the timings are great as this is an evening college.
