Centurion University BBA Review By Rohit Thakur

I am studying at Centurion University of technology and management of Odisha. It is a privately owned University. I choose this university because the fees of this college are relatively lesser than many of the private universities of Odisha. I am perusing my BBA here. I opt this college for my graduation as I had heard about the brilliant academic environment in this University. As per my expectations, this University is academically oriented. It's best for the students who focus on their studies more than other things while in college.

The study environment is strict and lecture system is very particular just like we followed in school. The teachers take regular tests and keep track of students' performance.

I must say that the faculty of our university is the prime attraction for the student while thinking of taking admission in this college. Not just the teachers of my department, but every department had well qualified and experienced teachers. Many of the teachers of our University are teaching for more than a decade and they have immense knowledge. The students who think to have higher studies like doing their PhD has a great scope to excel in their study by being taught by the faculty of Centurion University of technology and management. Students are always welcomed by the teachers to solve their study-related issues.

The performance of our college in providing jobs to the students in good companies via campus placement is not that good. Yet, companies come to our college to hire the fresh batch of passing out students but the hiring rate is just negligible in comparison to the total number of students applying. Only a few extraordinary students get a chance to get the job by campus placement while the rest of the students need to apply for the jobs on their own. Getting an internship is not that difficult when you are a student of this college. The faculty really is helpful in providing the best internship with top-rated companies to every student. It would be good if the University invites more companies to college and provide a fair chance of getting hired to every student.

The hostel facility in our University is very well. Yet, I am not a hostler but I have heard much of hostel condition from my friends. Our university is capable of accommodating the students of all streams coming to study from all over India. There are 12 hostels in total. The three hostels are for girls while the rest are for the boys. According to the study department of students, the hostels are allotted among these students. The yearly expense of the hostel may seem expensive to some of the parents but it’s the ultimate and safest option to keep their children in a different city. The security is good and CCTV cameras are installed in all the hostels. Yet, many hostellers who studied with me complain about the taste of hostel food. The mess of the hostels must think to improve the quality of meal they provide to hostel students.

As it is private university, so the best possible infrastructure is provided. The campus, toilets, labs, and library are kept neat and tidy. Transportation to nearby students is provided. The cafeteria is up to mark. So, on the whole, there is no problem regarding the infrastructure of this college. Even I can say it's better than the most of private colleges in India. If there seems any problem related to infrastructure, then the concerning authority does a good job to resolve the issue. As the library of the University is leveraged and well versed. Students can self-study and even borrow the books to take home.

The campus life in our university is vibrant and entertaining. The students from all the culture and religion remain all together and show a good level of harmony and cultural diversity. Even the university authorities are very particular about maintaining an academic and peaceful environment on the university campus. To take admission to our university one has to pass through the entrance examination that the university conducts. The marketplace is just 15 minutes away from the campus where the students can chill and have shopping for their needs. Throughout the year the campus of the university remains engaged with activities of different kinds. The most likable fests of this university are annual functions, festival parties, and sports meet. You can consider this university for your Bachelor's and Masters’ if you want good education along with exposure to vibrant life.
