The dental college is situated in the capital of Odisha that is Bhubaneswar. It is one of the branches of the renowned university that is SIKSHA ‘O' ANUSUNDHAN. For admission into this dental college, one has to pass the qualifying exam that is NEET. I was preparing for medical and due to less scoring in the NEET, I was unable to take admission. The only option with me was to enter into the dental college. When I entered this college, I realized that this is the best dental college because of the management of the college and the friendly faculty. This college was established in the year 2005. In this college, classes and practical or clinical practices are carried from time to time. In an internship, many seminars are held which help the student to gain the information of the respective department. In IDS, every faculty are helpful and friendly.

From the academics point of view, it is the most promising college in Odisha. The best part of college academics is the way of the teaching process. The method of teaching has to be interactive between the teachers and students. The pre-clinical classes are held for both the first and second year every day for better hand practice in the dental field. And for senior classes, regular clinical practices are held and interactions with the patient are performed. So that when a student passes the course and enters into society, he/she should interact with the patient without any fear. If a student wants to study without any disturbances, the library is the best place to do.

Most of the faculty of this college has passed their undergraduate and postgraduate from this college. They give ideas as to how to handle the patient. The knowledge that we gain has been upheld by our teachers. They expect that the student should respect their duty and study. They are always enthusiastic to discern their student’s achievements on a very big forum. The faculty has an enormous ability to handle the students. Any students can clear their doubts of the topics without any hesitation or any crisis.

In the course of the BDS, after the completion of a course of 4 years, the student has to practice in their respective college which is called an internship. Our seniors practice in the college for the growth of their careers. After the completion of the course and internship phase, one can apply in dental clinics or can treat the patient.

The hostel types are purely residential for the hostellers. The hostels are referred to as Lh 2, Lh 3, lh4 for girls. There is a rule for the entry timing for both girls and boys. Everyone is bound to follow that rules. There are separated hostels for both undergraduate and postgraduate. In each room, there are 3 beds, a cupboard, and a table, chairs are provided for the students. The room can be air-conditioned if the student is willing to do. Internet connection has been accessing the hostel. Both hot and cold water filter has been provided. The food is available for vegetarians and non-vegetarians according to their choice.

The infrastructure of the college is simple and attractive. The college has a large playground in which the different activities are carried out. The conference hall has been set up on the 2nd floor of the college for seminar purposes and department celebrations. The lecture theatres are fully air-conditioned and there are different dental departments for undergraduate and post-graduate students. Teachers have been provided with chambers. In the entry of the college, there is a waiting hall in which the patients wait for their turn for their dental check-up. At the entrance, there is a billing counter and medicine store in which the dental medicine is given at a reasonable price.

When college hours get over, a sufficient place has been provided to wander. Anyone can play if they want. Anyone can watch movies or can go out for mental peace or just to set their mind free. But the student has to be returned before the given time to the hostel. So overall it is the best college as dental for academics and as well as other reasons.
