ACE Engineering College B.Tech Review By Nikhil Jain

I have studied B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering CSE at Ace Engineering College. I have chosen this college as, I have got seat here through my EAMCET exam rank. At my time, when I joined, it wasn't Autonomous college but later as per my knowledge around 2018-2019 it became Autonomous as well. If you join this college then you have to be hard-working as well. Based on your hard work you will get decent placements as well.

I have studied Computer Science and Engineering at Ace Engineering College. When I studied, the course curriculum was good. Though, in the first semester you will have basic subjects which are not related to computer science. But later slowly you will enter into core concepts as well. I wanted to build my career as a Software Engineer so I have chosen this stream but it totally depends on your interest.

My stream faculty was very much experienced. You will no doubt, receive good knowledge through good faculties for 3-4 semesters itself. If you come to networking side then, also you will be taught by Mr. Vijay Kumar sir who is also very much experienced and there is lot to learn from them. Mostly all of them have done Ph.D. Their style of teaching is also good, you will be taught with real time experience.

Ace Engineering College has good placements but it also depends on your hard work. I personally received 5-6 offer letters. As per my experience here, you have to be sure in which city and state you want to get job. This college strives very hard to give placement to each and every individual. During my placements time, there was Corona pandemic and during that time as well through online mode special placement training was provided both in Aptitude and Programming as well. It helped me a lot.

When I joined this college, at that time the college was a bit old and was under construction. So at the beginning when I joined, there weren't any residential facilities and students had to stay in hostel in Ghatkesar but they weren't far away. Now, I am not that sure but, both for boys and girls, separate residential facilities are developed. But overall college infrastructure is very good.

The overall infrastructure of the good is very much good. Now, it has separate parking area for buses. It has blocks for library, accounts, placement and training, canteen, for bus related facilities, separate academic block which is for all academic activities. It has separate AC auditorium as well. During my time for one block had two stream students for example, CSE and Mechanical in one block and likewise for other streams. One disadvantage is playing area as indoor games area is also limited and outdoor area is not much big.

The only thing I regret here is not having some extracurricular activities. In my opinion along with studies there should also be some events such as fests and games in which entire college can participate. During my time, in the entire four years of B.Tech only 1 and maximum up to 2 such events were organized. So that was not fair according to me. College used to organize some events which were related to studies only which were like Java Programming Language (JPL), Python Programming Language (PPL) these were some contests. But coming to games point of view, they are very minimal here. Now, it might have improved but I am not sure of what are the activities that are organized in the college now.
