Sagar Institute of Research and Technology is undoubtedly one of the best engineering colleges in Bhopal especially for CSE. It will surely help you to get a job in TCS, Cognizant but not in a product based company. You can get the admission in SIRT Bhopal through JEE Mains or State level engineering exam, and you could also manage to grab scholarship or fee-waiver seat in college based on your score in JEE Mains. The college management is very greedy and is always hungry for money, they always look for an opportunity how they loot your money, and unnecessary fines are also imposed on the students.

I have done my B.Tech in CSE from this college in the year 2013-2017. I did join this college based on my JEE mains marks, my JEE mains marks were not good enough to get me a fee-waiver seat although I got 50% scholarship from the college management. So if you managed to score a well decent marks in JEE or MPET they'll surely offer you a good scholarship. Now talking about subjects, the subjects' syllabus is not up to the mark and it is not helpful even for a competitive exam. The local author's like RS Khurmi, Sangita Bhattacharya's books are preferred here which are not of good standard and the whole library consists of such books.

The faculty members who taught us were experienced and had good command over their subjects. There were total of 15-20 faculties in the college for CSE, all were highly educated, some of them even hold a degree of PhD from renowned universities. The faculty are knowledgeable but they're bound to teach only the subjects syllabus that are assigned to them, they focus more on student's results rather than improving their technical skills. They're ready to help you but they judge and treat you based on your sessional marks, so there's a little bit of partially among average hardworking students.

You're supposed to take admission in this college if you're from CSE or IT branch as the IT companies frequently visit here. The placement rate of Mechanical & civil is below the mark, hardly one or two core company visits here. Many companies like Wipro, Accenture, TCS and many more frequently visit here to recruit students from all the branches. The maximum package in my batch that I could remember so far was Rs. 10 LPA, it was bagged by a CSE student and the package is expected to increase with time. The range of average package was Rs. 3-4 LPA.

The college offers separate hostel for both boys and girls. They're situated near the college campus and are well equipped with facilities like Wi-Fi, water cooler, A.C but they have different charges for single/double room or for A.C/Non A.C room. On an average the annual fee of a two sitter room is 75k and for a single room with AC is 95k. The quality of food being provided here is very poor, mostly students used to order food online as the taste of hostel food is so bad and they're offer unhygienic service. I couldn't remember a single student who lived in college hostel for straight two years because of the bad hostel management as they were always craving for money.

SIRT is one of the best private colleges in M.P for engineering, it consists of great infrastructure, well equipped laboratories and it has also student friendly campus. The infrastructure, canteen, gardening etc. is so good that you'll automatically fall in love with the college. The college consists of various playgrounds for different sports, they're large in size and are very well maintained. The classrooms are meant for study environment but are small in size and only first year students' are provided with A.C facilities which runs rarely. The college has a separate medical room which takes care of any kind of emergency caused to students.

I enjoyed my good days in the college and I've made so many unforgettable memories. But the college has very strict rules and discipline, the each student has to wear uniform with college ID and maintain the 75% attendance criteria. You can forget your books but you cannot forget to bring your College ID and you can be scold for the same. The college organizes fests and often some celebrities visit. I have been a part of tech fest and it gave me enough exposure to organise other events also but the teachers were very strict as they didn't allow me to skip the classes for the sake of such events.
