SP college is the second best in Mumbai, I must say!

I say it's the second best engineering colleges in Mumbai, because VJTI still stands first in the race. When you don’t get admission in VJTI due to just a pointer’s difference, it breaks your heart. But you don’t have to worry if, because Sardar Patel College of Engineering is also the best. If you get admitted in this college, you’ll be only happy. SPCE Mumbai is very well-known in Mumbai for its education and campus. It had received timely accreditations from the AICTE, UGC and NBA boards for the high quality education and facilities imparted to its students. The admission process is just simple, carried under the CAP rounds of DTE. The college management is good but strict. No wonder they’ve maintained the decorum of the college despite being an engineering college. The website of the college is nicely designed and most importantly updated from time to time.
I took up Electronics Engineering as I had done my diploma from the same stream. As I did my diploma, I got admitted to the direct second year of the degree course. The admission was same with only one difference, our admission was done a little later. We did miss a lot of syllabus, but the college professors were really with the diploma students and helped us cope up with the syllabus. The subjects taught here were beyond my expectations. Undoubtedly one can get a good job after doing a course here. If you wish to do your masters here, you can very well do.
The college has qualified teachers and professors and they are strict about taking regular lectures. The faculty is extremely kind and helpful. They are all masters holder, while some are PhD holders hence have sound knowledge of their subjects. There are different workshops conducted in order to give a practical exposure to the students. I had a nice learning experience with the faculty.
I must say the placement cell of my college was superb. They allowed the students to appear for more than one companies which does not happen in any other engineering college - means if you get placed in one bulk recruiter, you are still eligible to give interview for other bigger companies, how cool is that. I did get a chance to sit for some really good companies and got a decent package. The students are trained by personality development training’s conducted by top class professionals. I really enjoyed the training and it helped me then and it still helping me. As per my knowledge, 85% of students got placed in really good companies in their final year. This is good percentage for any engineering college.
There’s a hostel for both girls and boys. As any other hostel, this too has a list of rules and regulations. Such as no guests or visitors are allowed, no loitering of the rooms, students must return to the room before 10pm, drinking alcohol or smoking is prohibited, no outside food allowed, you can’t cook in the hostel room, and the list goes on. If you come from far away such Palghar, Asangaon, Neral, Panvel, you’ll get preference. And honestly, if you can commute to the college from your house, it’ll be well and good. But having a hostel is a boon for students coming from outside the city.
The college campus was good something which suited well for an engineering college. There was 4G Wi-Fi connectivity for the staff and students. As the reputation of this college is good, the facilities are also up to the mark. The college has a playground where sports are conducted to keep the students active. The lab was fully equipped with apparatus which were quite sufficient for the students to perform experiments, individually. The canteen was also nice, we had a great time chit-chatting there. The food in the canteen was superb prepared and served by a bunch of friendly staff.
The campus life is awesome. The technical fest spectra is one of the well-known fests among the best engineering colleges. The crowd of this college was excellent jam-packed with enthusiasts who took up dance, singing and sports activity seriously. The students did everything with great dedication which filled the whole environment with a lot of enthusiasm and enjoyment. Overall it was a healthy environment in the campus.
