Ramjas College B.A Review By Nishika Nand Sahu

I am currently a student of B.A. (Honours) Economics in Ramjas College, University of Delhi. I am writing a review about the course and college after studying for three years and gaining several experiences. So college is not just about studying; it's about the experiences we gain while being in college. But first of all Ramjas is a very beautiful college surrounded with red walls and situated in north campus; the heart of University of Delhi. The faculty and the students here are from the whole country and you'll also find some international student as well. Faculty of Ramjas is extremely educated and ambitious in terms of teaching and helping you out with the subjects of your interest, be it your course or something else.

Earlier the requirement for admission was the intermediate marks but now it's been changed to CUET exam conducted by NTA. Students can apply with different quotas such as EWC, OBC, SC, ST, etc. The course of Economics is a very prestigious course especially in DU because of the course structure and the curriculum. Economics is treated as one of the toughest courses due to its syllabus pattern. Having mathematics as a subject in your intermediate is a must to get admission in economics honours. People pursue economics with different motives such as getting placed in corporate, some go for government exams preparation, some for further academics, and some for startups. This course provides a wide knowledge of finance and the economics in depth.

The faculty of Ramjas College in the economics department is one of the best faculties you can ask for. They are keen to teach and help the students with their problems be it academic or something else. Students are treated in such a way that they grow a deep interest in economics as a subject. The professors have a very appreciable academic background with most of them having their Ph.D abroad. They have themselves studied in the best institutions and now they are imparting their knowledge to the younger generations. Also, the professors are really cool but you'll never be spoon-fed.

Yes, there is a Placement Cell which helps students land really good internships as well as campus placement with a good package. Also, the placement conformation depends on the skills and work experience you gain throughout your college days.

Hostel is available for students with different courses but the number of seats is very less.

The infrastructure of college is very beautiful and well maintained. Labs are equipped with the required equipment and projectors are available in college classrooms. There are several conference halls, amphitheaters as well as auditoriums with a seating capacity of around 400 to 500 which provide students a good experience of the campus.

The campus life of Delhi University is very happening with different opportunities coming your way since the day you enter the college. The vibe of the campus is beautiful with no restrictions and less judgments on what you do. There are annual fests of colleges which makes DU one of the most wanted universities in India. Also, the huge diversity gives you a lifetime experience and very helpful connections and friends for life.
