IET DAVV, Indore is known to be one of the top 2 engineering colleges at the state level. It is a group of well-experienced teachers and bright students. The college has got an A+ grade from the NAAC team which is a big achievement in itself. The admission procedure is quite straightforward and is done through MP DTE counseling, keeping your JEE rank as a standard base. Also, the college has a well-defined management system that manages and coordinates the entire college.

Talking about academics, the college faculties prepare an academic calendar per year which helps the students to know everything beforehand. I personally was a student of Electronics and Instrumentation branch and was honestly satisfied with it. All the subjects were as per my interests. The students are allotted branches based on their JEE result and the college even provides a facility for internal branch change for which you can apply after completing 1st year. Honestly, none of the students likes to attend all the classes regularly, there comes mass bunk, and totally dependent on the choice of the students.

There are about 25+ faculties for my branch. And approx 200+ overall faculties present with an experience of about 10-15 years nearly. Some of them are even working for 25 years. All of them have their doctorate degree and are known to be specialized in their respective fields and departments. You all might be aware of the fact that college is a place to develop and enhance your overall personality by yourself. You may have heard from your graduate friends that everything depends on you. Yes, that’s true. Well, there are some faculties who work genuinely for the betterment of the students. They help you out at every step where you lag behind. The students are taught every subject thoroughly and even have the option to ask their doubts personally.

The college has built up a placement and training cell headed by Mr. Govind Maheshwari. He always guides students for improvisation and helps them to achieve higher positions with incredible packages. Till now, various top companies have recruited students in bulk commonly known as mass recruiters. The companies are Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, VMware and even more. These companies offer an average package of 4-5 LPA. There are some foreign companies that offer huge packages of around 25 LPA. The students get to learn a lot from the placement cell such as interview preparations and acquire confidence. Approximately, 80-85% of students of my batch were being placed with descent packages.

Taking my personal reference, it was a great time having fun in the hostel. There are a total of 4 hostels available to date. Out of which 3 hostels are allotted to boys and the remaining 1 is for girls. There are almost 300+ rooms available in which 3 students share a room. The annual charge for hostel accommodation is Rs. 20,500. Also, the students are provided with the mess facility. There are in all 2 mess options. The quality of food given is average and depends on the taste of the students. Some may find it worst whereas the others may find it good. It’s up to you.

The college covers a total area of 500 acres which is divided into various buildings. There are 12 buildings commonly known as blocks. Each branch has its own block which comprises classrooms and laboratories. It includes a library that provides the facility to issue books. The classrooms are good with furnished desks and benches. There are certain workshops of various departments with well-equipped machines. A canteen facility is also provided which is the favorite spot of the students along with an open area or playground. The college even has medical support for the students.

In my college days, I had fun in campus. Hanging out with friends on the campus especially in the canteen and playground was the best part. Apart from this, the college embraces multiple clubs such as dance club, music club, e-cell, placement club, sports club, etc. the best part of the entire college life was the fest. The college conducts events such as AAKSHANK which is known to be the biggest cultural fest in central India. Engineer’s day celebration is also one of the best events of the college.
