As a 2nd year student at College of Veterinary Sciences Hisar my overall experience at this college is highly transformative. As a NEET aspirant I also wanted to get MBBS college but being unlucky I got veterinary college so I was not happy. But from the moment I stepped into this university I astonished to see here the students who really wish to do veterinary practice solely from the starting of their preparation. That motivated me to do veterinary course further. Here the professors are highly educated and experts in their subjects. They are highly dedicated to their teaching and take care for each and every student’s careers. Here the clinics and labs are well equipped. The clinical cases are high at my college in the whole country after GADVASU. Various counselors are also given to every student for their moral support and tackle every possible issue. Journey till my 2nd year is challenging and high work load here make it more demanding. Sports classes are also organised every week and a mandatory and free NCC is also there for every student.

The course is BVSc and AH. To enter in this course one should give NEET exam and get good marks (590-610) for general category. Entry required is only NEET exam. Course curriculum is designed to cover all the essential aspects of veterinary medicine. It is simple, to the point, helpful and easy to understand. Our college is best for academics in INDIA. Our college campus clinics and labs offer very good practical experience, allowing students to prepare for their careers and future. Motive for enrolling to BVSc and AH program is to encourage veterinary course in India. Students who are in passionate love for animals should apply to this course. I recommend LUVAS if someone wants to pursue this degree program and become veterinary surgeon in their career.

Faculty and professors at my college are experts in their subjects. They are highly educated and qualified teachers. Their dedication to teaching is highly enhanced my learning experience. Our faculty provides hands on training to the students which are crucial for the practical knowledge which students apply to surgery and medicine. All the faculty and staff members of our college are experienced. But if I talk about cons (actually they are not cons) all the teachers are very strict. Attendance must be above 75 percent otherwise you are not given chance to give exams.

Hostel life is also good. Actually hostel is very cheap. And the registration process for hostel is also carried out along with the academic registration. Mess food is also good.

Our college COVS is the first ever veterinary college in India. Firstly situated at Lahore then shifted to Punjab then finally moved to Hisar. Infrastructure is modern, well designed and well equipped. In every classroom smart and green chalk boards are available. High speed internet is available at my college. Veterinary clinics are impressive. Latest medical instruments are available at those clinics. Additionally I must add here the LIBRARY which is the best library in whole Asia. Each and every book which is very expensive for the students is available absolutely free. It is very important aspect in infrastructure to add here. Various college canteens, library canteens and hostel canteens are also available. Overall infrastructure is excellent.

Campus life is enriching and provides a well all rounder experience. There are huge opportunities for students to engage, connect and grow personally along with professional course. Talking about fests, fests are not available here but the only fest here is The College Freshers which is very huge, exciting, very entertaining and amazing. It continues for the 14 days and the 15th day freshers party happens in which all the 1st year students participate in variety of dances and various other events and all the students of various years comes to enjoy. The campus itself is very beautiful and scenic and plenty of green spaces are provided. Guest’s lectures, workshops, cultural events are also organised in my college. Overall campus life is fulfilling.
