A review on P.G.D.A.V College

Overall Rating
PGDAV College was good. Most importantly it is a DU College so it carries value. And the sports were best there and the teachers were also good. Fests and various programs are conducted here every year. I have attended various seminars and events there and they are the best part there.
 

Academics Rating
My course was B.Com (Hons.) and the fee was around 15000 for one year. Exam fee per semester was 1200 depending upon your subjects. And DU requires around 94 percentages to be eligible for admission. The fee is different for each and every year. For the first year my fee was 15000 and next year 14500 around and for the next year it was 15000 around.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty was really good. Though some subject teacher were rude. Bur not all. The core subject teacher is very good and you don’t need tuition if you pay attention in the class. Overall teachers are good. The sports teachers there are not that good they talk rudely sometimes. Only the course teachers are good.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are also available. Various internships are also offered to the students and they must have CGPA above 7 to be eligible for sitting in the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
No hostel. This college does not provide hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 2 buildings, old and new. New one is in good condition and old one is not that good. Computer labs are nice and clean and the overall infrastructure is also good. The canteen is the biggest of all Delhi University colleges and the sports ground is also huge. One can play several sports such as cricket, football, tennis and badminton etc. Also the board games are also available such as chess, table tennis, carom board, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good; there were several places to chill in break time. Atmosphere is also nice and clean. And canteen food is average. Fests take place every year and there are societies and clubs to join. It was the biggest canteen of Delhi University. The sports ground was also big. The basketball ground is also there. Badminton and tennis grounds are also there but it is not furnished.

    When I first got into this college. I wasn't so sure about this college. I was selected for the third round, and I got into PGDAV College. Since I was late, I found it hard to make friends because all of the other students already made their group.     I have completed my first year in this college and I experienced some good as well as bad things in this college. The best thing of this college is that teachers are very supportive. If you are preparing for any professional course side by side you can prepare without getting any headache regarding attending regular classes.     Overall Rating
    PGDAV College offers a decent academic environment along with a blend of extracurricular activities. The faculty is well in their subjects, especially in Commerce and Arts streams, which are quite popular here. While some teachers go the extra to help students, a few classes can feel mundane, but this is common in most DU colleges.
