Government Polytechnic Nashik is for both academics and sports

The main reason for which I chose this college is because of the government logo, also the good reviews of my friends and neighbor but the main reason is the fees structure. It is also blessed with good teachers but for the annual fest and other cultural events, they are not that popular. If you study hard throughout the diploma you can get best colleges in Maharashtra. But if you are not willing to study whole three years I will prefer MSBTE colleges because the Government Polytechnic Nashik is an autonomous college which means that if you do not behave properly in the college then it can cause some problems in your future.

In Government Polytechnic Nashik there are more than 10 branches for pursuing diploma, in this the most favorite branches are Computer, Information Technology, Civil, Mechanics, Automobile and Polymer Engineering. But the problem comes for the admission as it has high cut off, its average cutoff is more than 90% of SSC or CBSE. The main motivation to take admission in this college is for completing that diploma from good college with less amount of money. As I previously mentioned that it is at the normal college that means you have to focus on degree subjects to enroll in well known colleges in Maharashtra. One more thing there is a reservation category for the technical students who drop the History Geography subject and studied the technical subject in their 10th. As I am one of them I got 15% reservation. If you have 90% I guarantee you will get Information Technology or Computer Technology.

The faculty of Government Polytechnic Nashik is very friendly. They teach core or any subject in a simple and easy manner. The problem comes when you have assigned some temporary teachers to teach. But the temporary teachers also have some industrial experience and good skills of teaching. Moving forward to the permanent teachers they are all Ph.D holders that mean they have worked in IT industry and have knowledge about the subjects. As for the principle he is little bit strict related to the rules and regulations. But from this year means 2024 there are various technical events conducted by different branches.

As per the placement for the diploma holders, there is not that much of opportunities but if anyone wants to get placed has more chances to be placed from campus. But maximum times all students go for higher education. At our time the placement was not offered because of the pandemic but as per for the 2024 there are some companies offering jobs for the diploma graduates. You also can go for the off campus placement opportunities.

As I am a day scholar I didn't stay in hostel but as per the other students, four students can live in one room. The rooms have 2 cupboards and 4 beds. For the girls and boys hostel the rules are different but the cleanliness and maintenance is better in girl’s hostel. As per for the mess food I tried some of the menu of hostel student. It is not that good and not that bad. Also for the hostel you must not be a resident of Nashik. The college hostel is only allotted to the outsiders. Also the fees of hostel are very cheap, it is nearly about 10000 per year. But for getting the college you must have good grades.

As per the infrastructure of Government Polytechnic Nashik, it has good infrastructure with 30 acres of campus area with having two main buildings and 2 hostels for boys and girls. Also it has one big library and some workshops for branches like automobile, civil, mechanical, etc. It also has a very huge playground in the main building. As for the greenery, there is a big garden of mango trees and 2-3 small gardens.

As per for the campus life, it is good. The campus has very nature friendly vibes. Also well maintain gardens are there in the college campus. Also it has one big cultural event known as Spandan. The college also has a café but it is average. There are many cafes near to the college.
