Overall Rating
I choose this institute because I liked veterinary medicine very much. I love animals. There is no better college in Kerala than this to study Veterinary Science. This college is the best thing that happened to me. There are two veterinary colleges in Kerala, one in Thrissur district and other in Wayanad district. I preferred college of Veterinary Science in Thrissur because it was the first to be built and had more knowledgeable and experienced faculty as compared to other colleges on the same profession.
 

Academics Rating
The most important course here is Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. This is a 5 year course curriculum including internship. Every year almost 125 students enroll in the college for UG. The admission procedure is based on the entrance ranking. Therefore every student studying here got admitted through their merit system.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers and faculty in the college help students according to their needs, both in their studies and personal problems. The college has a good counseling system along with mentors and advisors. Exams are conducted as 3 internal exams and an external exam. Exams are not too difficult. Every student can pass through the year without failing.
 

Placement Rating
I don't really know about placements but there are internship programs during our final year. Internship programs are done half a year inside Kerala and half a year outside Kerala in Tamil Nadu. During the internship programs students improve the knowledge on veterinary medicine by working with veterinary professionals and qualified doctors clearing the doubts and improving the knowledge on Veterinary Science.
 

Hostel Rating
Students can stay at hostels. There are separate hostels for both boys and girls. There are hostels for both UG and PG. Food is provided in the hostel mess, students take care of the food requirements there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is large almost 300 acres including its forests and other sceneries. The college has its own playground which can be utilised to play football, cricket and other sports. Some of the buildings are of the time when the college was first built there are also new buildings and other infrastructures supporting the academic needs. There is Wi-Fi facility in both men’s and ladies hostel and also on college premises.
 

Campus Rating
The college provides us with a large campus and beautiful areas covered with trees and sceneries. There is a good playground where students play football, cricket and other sports. There is a good library for students to refer about their doubts. Wi-Fi is available in every hostel and also inside the college. Food is available in the hostel mess for which additional fees should be paid.
