Nehru Arts and Science College B.Sc Review By Benaseer N

Our college NASC is one of the best colleges you can find in Coimbatore. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University which is also a best university in terms of all. The college management should be little developed because our department FSN isn't getting any proper attention. We haven't still received our ID cards.

B.Sc Food Science and Nutrition I have joined. By taking Chemistry or biomaths in higher education in school we can enter in this course. I want to basically enter in medical field but without medications so in this course through food we will be treated which is 100% healthy so I chose this course. We have attended 1.5 yrs of our college life in online mode, so we didn't get to know about the course thoroughly and we couldn't attend practical classes as it consists a major part of our course so this is also a major drawback. By completing UG through online mode we can't get the job so we should definitely study PG so that we can get a job.

Our department faculties give us information almost at last minute. Faculties change often which is a major drawback as we set comfortable with one faculty the other faculty changes so it takes quite time for us. Language teachers don’t take proper classes on proper time they make us to wait in platform and leave us and gave a lame excuse which is not acceptable. M.Sc or PhD is must for our faculty. Our English staff doesn't teach us properly she needs training of her vocabulary and teaching skills.

We have attended online internship and applied for it and yet we haven't received any information regarding that. I don't know much about the placement progress done by our batch.

Yes hostel facility is provided in our college. But food is not good in hostel like idly is hard and we have to identify which curry is it which may result in stomach upset and no of diseases in students. Yes Boys and girls hostels are separate. Security is good and when we come to other facilities there is no heater and hostel fee is quiet not affordable.

Infrastructure is not so good the classroom benches are rusted and electrical instruments like fan are not in proper condition they can fall at any time. Library is good but there is only limited supply of books. Laboratories are newly built for our department as our department is a new one and yet many requirements are needed. Buildings can be repainted.

We spent half of our college life in online mode so we haven't got much time to explore it. In 3rd sem we have visited our college for 14 days and that is considered to be one of the best parts of my life. It is pretty good. Our college is well known for onam celebration. Cultural and so on. And as an online student I'm looking forward for an offline celebration.
