Overall Rating
My experience at Shyam Lal College, DU was great. I got great like-minded friends and experienced faculty. The whole environment supports quality education and a proper well being. The faculty members of this college focus on students having practical experience in their subjects. This college provides you all the facilities from a library to reading room, amphitheater and a canteen.
 

Academics Rating
I took B.Com (Hons.). This course has a decent fee structure. For admission in B.Com (Hons.) you have to clear CUET, conducted by NTA. My motivation for doing this course was to get into the corporate and finance sector.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of the Commerce department is great and experienced. They have done their Ph.D and masters from top notch universities. The faculties are experts in their fields and are very humble. You can approach them anytime for clearing your doubts. The professors always focus on helping students to understand the concepts and how the students can implement it in their real life.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell of SLC is not that great. It can be improved as internships are not job-oriented here.
 

Hostel Rating
SLC doesn't provide any hostel facilities, students have to live in PGs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As this college was established in the late 1964, the infrastructure is a little bit outdated and should be modified. However, the infrastructure is improving. There are 2 buildings having a library, reading room, amphitheater and 3 computer rooms. There is also a canteen in the campus where you can relax and study comfortably with your friends.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life is decent. SLC conducts a fest as well as many engaging activities. You can even join different societies. This will further help you network with like-minded people. This college supports and provides funding to various cells like the Placement Cell, Institute and Innovation Council, NSS and Enactus. The crowd here is very decent. People come from various states to study in this college.

    If you are coming to this college with the motive of studies then it is definitely good decision. Its Commerce department is best in comparison to other departments.
