R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics is one of the best and top colleges whose alumni are very successful and doing exceptionally well. As a recent pass out from the college, I can say it is the best colleges for students pursuing professional courses in Commerce. It focuses on overall development and character of students so that they have an edge over others in the field.

The college provides wide range of courses from High School Certificate in Junior College i.e. 11th and 12th standard to Graduate and Post Graduate courses like B.Com, BMS, Actuarial Studies, BBA, M.Com specializations and even 3 Ph.D courses. Being an autonomous college, it has its own well articulated syllabus and comprehensive study material in line with the industry demands. The Junior College syllabus is same as the Maharashtra HSC syllabus but the difficulty level is totally above what other institutions provide.

The faculty of the college is very well qualified. They are highly educated (some being CAs) and provide deep insights and widen the depth of knowledge of students. Each faculty has their own unique style to make the best and simplest ways for students to understand the topics. Also the most important advantage is that the faculties of all departments are very helpful and supportive, creating a very healthy environment

There is also a placement cell in the college which provides a chance to be placed in Big 4s like KPMG, PwC and also other big firms and companies like TCS. There are also opportunities for internships with different organizations to build a strong resume and have a competitive edge for students to excel after completion of their education.

No, unfortunately the college doesn't have its own residential facilities but it may help to get you one with the help of non teaching staff.

The college has a pretty decent infrastructure. The infrastructure is well maintained ever since it was constructed. It has a huge library as well on the top floor. The institute also has an auditorium to accommodate at least 200 people. Along with that there are 4 IT rooms as well. The college also has its own turf for providing sports facilities.

The campus life of the college is quite active and full of activities. You could easily find people getting involved in different forums and participating in different fests throughout their college life. There are different literary circles and youth forums. The college also has NCC and NSS offices and these offices are very active with different events and their own training as well.
