The place SVNIT can truly be game changer for many engineers. This institute offers some of the best engineering courses in almost all core branches. The placements at SVNIT are excellent since most of the companies based in Gujarat arrive for campus selections and provide multiple offers. The infrastructure of institute is excellent with highly modern and fully equipped laboratories and classrooms. The teaching staff is highly qualified, professional and brilliant in their domain.

The courses offered are mainly core engineering fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc. The entry requirements are very clear as the institute is one of the 31 NITs, meaning one must secure really good marks in JEE Mains examination and go through the counseling round for preferable course and institute. Allotments are made on the basis of All India ranking. Some foreign students also study at SVNIT under the DASA program. My motive to enroll in Chemical Engineering at SVNIT is that I wanted to make a career in a Chemical or a Petrochemical industry and Gujarat is a hub for that.

The faculty members in all departments are highly qualified professionals with most of them having Postgraduate and Doctorate degrees. There are many faculty members that have done research work. Some faculty members are even ranked in top 100 to 500 teachers all over world. The teaching style and methodology of teachers is very unique and attractive. They start from basics cover everything necessary.

Yes there is a dedicated placement cell which works continuously in coordination with the placement coordinators to bring companies for recruitment and internship. They are really helpful for students as try their best to get each aspiring individual placed.

SVNIT offers some of the best hostel facilities in around 15 different hostel buildings. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostels are allotted through Institute website. Students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd get double occupancy rooms. For final year students, single occupancy rooms are available. Every hostel has excellent infrastructure, has separate mess facility, sports room facility, recreation rooms, library etc. Night canteen facility is available in hostels for students.

Infrastructure of institute is excellent with spacious classrooms, modernized laboratories in each department, central conditioned class rooms and world class library with more than 10000+ books. The institute also provides bus facilities for transportation from one place to another inside the campus. Dispensary, SBI Bank, ATM, café, Gym, Sports, etc are also available inside the campus for students.

Campus life is very amazing and extraordinary at SVNIT. Here the student learns and grow regardless of their fields. There are different student clubs such as Dance Club, Music society, Drama society, NCC, NSS, Unnat Bharat, etc. The annual cultural festival of Institute is called ‘Sparsh’ in which many technical and cultural events are organized. Fresher’s party is organized each year for the new students. Students also get various opportunities in sports, cultural activities, robotics etc.
