Plaksha University: My overall experiences and observations

Overall Rating
I chose Plaksha University, primarily as I couldn’t pursue education abroad due to family reasons and also because I did IB curriculum due to which I was not able to write JEE or other private exams. However, my Physics professor encouraged me to join this university as I was keen to learn tech and finance, and their approach seemed the best fit for me.
 

Academics Rating
The course requirements are that you at least had Math in your high school. The eligibility is not that great as such. You should have scored at least above 80% in your boards and have a good mathematical understanding to survive. Also, SAT scores or other exam scores are also accepted by the university.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are super nice, with their background being coming from exceptional universities like Harvard, IIT's, etc. Moreover, they are helpful and eager to understand and talk to students. Their style of teaching is also not stereotypical. They incorporate real life projects to give motivation to students. Although, the academics is a bit tough here.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a CPC. It helps us getting internships and jobs in the industry after our 6th and 7th semester. It helps students actually as it organises seminars and workshops for resume building, interview preparation, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we do have a hostel and it is compulsory for everyone. There are 2 hostel blocks, one for girls and one for boys. The hostel life is not as interesting as there are no social activities in our college due to the heavy workload. The hostel facilities are decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 2 academic blocks in the university, one being for lectures and one focusing on labs. Both are well-equipped and offer good space to study, there is also a small library in the campus. The infrastructure is not up to the mark.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd in the university is good, but there is no campus life as the workload is too high. No fests have been organized till now, but they are planning to do this year. In the first year there is an orientation week which helps students settle in but as such only one sports fest has happened until now.
