Review on CIIIH ITC Maratha

Overall Rating
I choose this institute as they provide hands-on experience with on-the-job training at hotels. The hotel where we interned is spectacular and really one of the best hotels called ITC Maratha. My overall experience with the institute is average.
 

Academics Rating
The course duration is of 18 months with 3 modules. The beginner, the intermediate and the advanced. The entry requirements is 10+2 with minimum 50% and more, and fluency in English. They take personal interview to see your determination and motive before being granted admission.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members kept on changing because the hotel work. As I opted for culinary, my instructors were sous-chefs and executive-chefs, who would take weekly practical, and that was pretty much how we were taught. We had to learn things on our own or from other chefs working there. The learning process needs a lot of improvement and their course needs to be updated as well.
 

Placement Rating
Placement are provided with compulsory interview. After the interview you are on your own, how you present yourself and how you give you trials for. Though they are not very helpful because you have to make your image while training to get hired. But they do provide interview with other hotel groups.
 

Hostel Rating
No the Institute does not provide any hostel or residential facilities. You're on your own to look for hostels or PG near you working hotel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the campus (that is the hotel) is beautiful. It's marvelous, with 380 rooms and 5 specialty outlets and welcome cafe for guest, where you get on the job training. There is cafeteria available for all the employees and trainees. There is also and L&D room where there are books for you to read and learn. There are separate lockers for male and female with laundry provided for the uniforms.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is pretty good. You get exposure to various events and the industry. There are many events hosted by famous people which you get to be a part of. The crowd at the campus (that is the hotel) is really nice and humble. They are very helpful while you are learning and let you explore new things. Every month end there is a festival for all the workers to come together and enjoy themselves for the day. There is a big feast for everyone with different theme every month.
