Sarsuna College is one of the newest colleges affiliated with the reputed University of Calcutta. It has over 10 departments in the Arts, Science, and Commerce section. Every department in this college is thriving with its respective professors and HODs. Though relatively new, this college provides you with various subjects to choose from.

I joined this college in 2019 with eyes full of dreams and a curious mind. This college has led me towards my dreams every single day. Joining the English Department was undoubtedly one of the best decisions of my life. Our department is run by four educated, experienced, and understanding professors, and I feel grateful to have their guidance in my life. During the Covid-19 outbreak, the professors were regular with their online lectures. In times of uncertainty, having an online college definitely helped restore some normalcy in our student's lives.

Our professors are extremely skilled and helpful. They make sure that the students are provided with the best education possible. Most professors have their Doctorate degrees as well. The dedication and undivided attention from our faculty make the college run so successfully. There is less to no political influence in our college. As a result, the atmosphere remains study friendly always.

Like most of the general degree colleges under Calcutta University, Sarsuna College doesn't provide any placements now, but the education, knowledge, and especially the undergraduate degree surely hold enough value for the students to pursue their higher studies or to find good job opportunities.

Sarsuna College does not provide hostel accommodation. But there is a lot of government housing existing near the college. The rent is pretty affordable in Sarsuna, so it is easy to find hostels or paying guest houses for outstation students. So if you're thinking about taking admission to Sarsuna College, accommodation is not something you need to worry about.

In terms of infrastructure, Sarsuna College excels in many ways. Upon entering the college, a huge statue of a Woman symbolizes wisdom. Various kinds of blooming flowers surround the statue. There are proper laboratories for those subjects requiring practicals. The labs are well equipped with various apparatus and scientific instruments. There is a separate GIS laboratory for geography students and a special room for audiovisual projection for film studies students. The central Library had been digitized, and several smart and virtual classrooms had been installed to encourage the students in learning in the best ways possible. Not just studies, there is a large ceremonial hall for cultural programs. Two rooms are allotted on the first floor for indoor games. Behind the second gate of the college, there is a spacious parking lot for two-wheelers.

Surrounded by many trees and with a lake nearby. The Sarsuna College campus is a treat to eyesight. The college building is three-storeyed and green in color. Sarsuna College campus is a fully Wi-Fi zone, and there is a canteen and a stationery store for student essentials. Because of the vast greenery, Sarsuna College campus is home to many types of exotic birds. Besides this, the college campus has easy transportation, for there is a bus stop and an auto stand just a few minutes away. The locality is quiet enough and definitely eco-friendly. Also, if you are someone who likes to hang out with your friends during break time, there is a cafe nearby and other street food stalls.
