My Life at SRMIST

Overall Rating
The ambience and the vibe in the campus of SRMIST is top notch. It has all the amenities and the teaching aids. It is also situated in the clean city which is suitable to live pursue the career. The campus life and the hostel are also good.
 

Academics Rating
I opted for the course Computer Science & Engineering. The entry requirement of this course in SRMIST is clearance of an exam called SRMJEE which is quite easy. The eligibility of this course is to finish the 12th standard. The motive of joining this course was to get placed in the renowned companies.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are very helpful towards the students. They are always ready to help in every way they can. For example, clearing our doubts, helping the research work etc. Their teaching methods are also easy to grasp and their style of teaching matches with student’s ability to understand. They are well qualified also.
 

Placement Rating
Major companies like Google, Microsoft and Wipro come for placement drives in the institute.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostels are available for students to stay and learn. They are well equipped with gym, play area and a designated mess hall.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this institute is top notch. The whole academic block is air conditioned. There are many labs like Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Workshop, etc. There is an indoor games area and a music room. All the classrooms and the lab areas are air conditioned and the classrooms are equipped with advanced smart teaching boards. That campus area has all the facilities including a library, gym, supermarket for daily needs and a hospital for medical care.
 

Campus Rating
There are clubs in the campus including technical and non technical which are helpful for students to gain extra knowledge. Sports are given importance here. Hence, sporting events like football, cricket, basketball and volleyball tournaments happen very often.

    So, basically the quest for getting Computer Science branch made me choose SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli. The teaching faculty and the environment it provides are good.
