HPT College offers courses in a variety of subjects. While I joined this college with high expectations, the college failed to meet my expectations because the education system is extremely poor and there is a lack of proper course planning. The College is located in a heart of the city, which attracts a large crowd of students. The campus reminds you of ancient Maharashtrian forts since the buildings are built like old forts.

At the beginning of the year, the College assigns a schedule, but as time passes, the faculty move away from the students, and they are left with no other choice than to complete the entire portion on their own. Except for a few, all teaching styles and teachers assigned to each subject are inexperienced to the subject and cannot answer questions from students. A degree like B. A has to be taught well and in detail, but the mentors have no real understanding of the syllabus. The teacher usually reads the PDF or book aloud and asks students to learn everything on their own. In an English-specific department, teachers are expected to have a thorough command of the language, but they fail. The English Department does not provide or teach authentic notes.

The faculty at this college is neither good nor bad. Teachers are very warm and understanding although they care sincerely for their students, the educational experience they provide is not equivalent to the other good things they offer. Many faculty members in our college try to give their best to students but terribly fail. Just a few teachers from the English department have a deep understanding of their respective majors/subjects. Teachers used to send PDFs and presentations on groups and asked us to handle them on our own in a Covid lockdown.

Since I do not have much information about placements, I can only tell you that the placement ratio at HPT College is average. According to my experience, the heads of the colleges do not take perfect interviews of the interviewees and give them placement at random. HPT College can achieve a high rank if the placement process goes well.

There are no hostel facilities at HPT College since it is located in the centre of the city, making it very easy for everyone to attend on a regular basis with their own two-wheeler or public transportation.

HPT has separate gymkhanas and auditoriums for the performance of sports, cultural activities, extracurricular activities and military training. The college has two seminar rooms for conducting functions and meetings. The college has created a language laboratory to teach English and it is equipped with Linguaphone English software. The college is well kept with a large area for students. Several types of gardens are available, as well as places to sit and study or practice. The College has installed CCTV cameras at prominent locations on the college campus to ensure the safety and security of students. You can also use the Xerox facility in the library at a nominal charge. One of the best things about the college is that two-wheelers can be parked separately for boys and girls. As a student, I always wished to sit down with friends and discuss the green and eco-friendly aspects of the college campus.

The campus here is always lighted, and the students mix together as if they were one family. The college hosts various types of department fests, such as Lit (Literature) Fest and "Green Minds Newspaper" for the English Department, Ankur for the Psychology Department, and Marathi Sahitya for the Marathi Department, etc.

The campus had no gender distinction as both girls and boys were allowed to roam free. As a student, I always wished to sit down with friends and discuss the green and eco-friendly aspects of the college campus. Several trees have been planted on the campus of HPT College, and they are well taken care of. The college is free of garbage, spitting, and ragging.
