GRD Institute of Management and Technology provides you better campus exposure and it is located at very beautiful location. We get to watch green hills from the back of the institute that provides a fascinating view. Apart from the view, the faculties and students are much friendly. The infrastructure of the institute is slightly less maintained and needs some more improving as some buildings needs to be repainted and some needs re-construction.

The exams are somewhat harder than any other universities but if we study with consistency for at least 2-3 hours a day, then we can easily ace the institute exams. However, schedule is little bit hectic. Some labs needs proper equipment to carry out the specific experiments needed in the course. If we talk about Engineering, then we get 4-5 theory subjects per semester and 3-4 lab subjects per semester.

The faculties of this institute are helpful and help us as much as they can. However, they are little bit strict in academics but are more friendly and supportive Many teachers and professors have graduated from a reputed institutes and most of them have done PhD in their respective fields and almost every teacher has a master degree in their respective field. Their teaching method is good and easy to understand and they handle hard topics with an ease.

Our institute has a placement cell which helps students to get placed in the reputed companies and with a decent package based on their skills. In engineering field, mostly placements are skill based and few placements are based on the CGPA. Apart from B.Tech, placements of other courses are also good. The placement cell of our institute also provides training to the students for cracking the interview of a good and reputed Multinational Company with a decent package.

Our institute has a hostel of their own named Tagore- boy’s hostel and a separate hostel for girls is inside the campus. The hostel is overall good based on my experience of 1.5 years. The food provided in the hostel is better than other institute hostel and hostel menu includes various types of vegetables good for our health. The security inside the campus is good. No outsider is allowed inside the hostel at night.

The infrastructure of the institute is somewhat kind of old looking but some buildings looks good because of re-construction but some needs to be repainted. However, water cooler is available at every step inside the campus and I like this thing about the campus. Management block is the most developed and beautiful block of all the blocks. It also has sports facilities.

The campus review about the institute is satisfactory means you will get a perfect blend of study and extracurricular activities with enjoyment. The institute fests and parties are good and fresher’s party and fests are held every year and flashmob inside the institute are held every 4-5 month for refreshment of the students. Cricket and other sports tournament are also held in between the semesters and many of the students go to Uttarakhand Technical University to represent our institute in different sports. Many tech fests also happen that are for the last year students related to the technical field.
