Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology M.Sc Review By Poulomi Banerjee

I took admission in this university in 2023. I study Data Analytics with specialization in BioAI here in DUK. Overall experience had been very good so far in 1 year. Campus life is very good. I stay in hostel in the campus itself. It has a girl's hostel only. Boy's hostel is 2 KM away from the campus and bus facility is available to travel back and forth from hostel to university. Academics are really good. The unique thing about this university is research and innovation is highly motivated here. University and its facilities are 24/7 accessible and even on national holidays, Saturday, Sunday anyway and anytime (means classrooms and labs are accessible all the time). All the professors are very friendly. We can discuss any kind of idea with them related to innovation and research. Overall, this university is a separate world in itself.

I am studying Data Analytics and BioAI here. The eligibility criteria is student from any Science stream can apply. Student should have 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 or above on the scale of 10 in 10+2. The professors are really nice and helpful. All the professors are very approachable.

Faculties are really nice and helpful. Any kind of help can be taken from them. They are much professional attitude and behavior in the campus. This makes the student ready for IT and corporate life also. All the communications from faculty side is in English so students from outside Kerala have no issues.

Placement is quite good here. Big Tech companies also come for placement like TCS, TATA Elxsi, Chubb, etc. Most of the students get placed during the 4th semester internship itself. University also conducts placement readiness activities. A little bit effort from the student's side is surely going to land them a job while being in the university. Also faculties use their connections and recommendations for internship for students, if they have proved their worth and abilities.

Hostel is very nice. Proper security, food and other maintenance is very nice. Infrastructure is good. Rooms are mostly double occupancy. 6 floors are there in girl’s hostel which is in campus itself. Each room has 2 single beds, 1 wardrobe (one side for each student to use, but pretty big and height), 3 charging ports, balcony, one fan, 2 study tables and 2 chairs. It gets cleaned every week. Each floor has one washing machine and water filter with separate taps for hot, cold and normal temperature water. There is one bathroom block in every floor. Mess food has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Both North Indian and South Indian dishes are cooked every day. Every day in week has specified menu.. Boy's hostel is like a home with very nice facilities.

Infrastructure is very nice in DUK. Smart class rooms with cutting edge technology to educate the students. University has 3 storied building. Three floors have separate 2 bathroom blocks for girls and boys each. Each floor has 2 water filter facilities. Laboratories are equipped with new-age technology. Every innovation is funded by university.

Campus life is alluring. I'm a non-malayali. I found some very good friends here. All the people are very welcoming. I loved this university and place. This campus is a whole different world in itself. We can play table tennis in the mess, caroms also. We also can play cricket, badminton and football in the night also in the campus.
