Krupanidhi School of Management PGDM Review By Ayush Aggarwal

After I knew I was done with engineering, MBA was the only option left. I didn’t have the slightest of ideas that even that has variants like PGDM and all. After evaluating everything, I opted for PGDM in International Business. The main reason behind that was that this course was the bellwether of the institute. One of my seniors from my previous college also passed out from here and had a great job a year before. PGDM in IB from KSM is rated quite highly. They do consider various entrance marks, but I had none, and still, I got admissions as my friend who passed out from here had great connections. Things have changed now as entrances have become mandatory now. The main reason students should choose PGDM from KSM is that it boosts various career opportunities. KSM gives their student ample motivation towards getting involved in innovative and research activities. With all due respect to management, engineering colleges are supposed to do that but not all engineering colleges have those facilities.

PGDM program of KSM facilitates both practical and theory. All areas and functions of management were taught in our course. The entire course is divided into four semesters, and in that, they used to have two-week internals. The schedule remained tight, which is valid for any management college. At KSM, attendance demand was high but escaping that was easy as the faculty weren’t that bothered for the students who hardly came to classes.

Experienced faculties of KSM were the chief architect of student’s development. Since most students were from an engineering background, assignments were never a problem. The faculty’s help was minimal outside the class, but they will hardly have any doubts if one sits straight at the classes. Management is an inborn talent, and no studies or faculty can make the student a management student was the clear message from our faculty. It was a blunt statement but true as well.

Placements start with summer internships as they were compulsory. Students can skip classes but not internships. Since, I am talking 2015, the average placement back then was 5LPA and the highest was well above 10 lakhs. I am talking this about our course as other course placements were lesser than ours. Companies like Toyota, Ford, Wipro, Idea (Today’s VI), etc. have come during the placement drive. Back then, the numbers were highly impressive and with time and inflation missile rising high, I am sure the average packages too would have gone higher.

Krupanidhi Group of Institutions had common hostels for all the colleges that they had. KSM program was a residential program, and we were provided clean and sanitized rooms on double sharing. The rooms were quite clean, and the hostel also had a kitchen on each floor accessible for students. RO water purifier was also installed on each floor of the hostels. The kitchen had a fridge, and many people used it for many good reasons. I wish I could explain this in detail, but our readers are smart enough. The food part was subjective as; again, the non-veg and veg food was served together. Luckily there was a kitchen, and students had the option of considering mess or not. I, along with some of my friends, used the kitchen to good effect as we used to cook our meals on our own.

The college is not that big as nearly four colleges are accommodated in one campus. There were separate boy's and girl’s hostels inside the campus and separate admin buildings. A mini football ground was there at the back of the boy’s hostel. This is all that we had in terms of sporting facilities because the recreation rooms were so small and student's strength was so high that getting a chance of playing there was slim to none. The campus cafeteria was a delight for many because apart from tasty food, the canteen also served ice-creams and beverages. The computer lab was one of the best that you will see. One thing that can’t be ruled out is that the group had a lot of money and invested heavily in building the institution. Once the walls start getting rusted, they will immediately get them repaired. All complaints regarding infrastructure were seriously taken.

What importance does extra-curricular activities play in student life is what I learned at the KSM campus. The institute celebrates every festival and on national holidays like Republic Day or Gandhi Jayanti, many events are organized. Prominent personalities are being invited for the events. Many colleges have such activities and maybe better than my college, but for me, I lived a campus life worth remembering for at the Krupanidhi campus. Krupanidhi holds a very special place in my heart as it not just has given me a job but a life inside the campus that is unforgettable.
