St. Andrews Institute of Technology and Management B.Tech Review By Mithun Chakladar

SAITM sets a very green lush farm based environment which is very cozy in winters for me. As the institute provide transport facilities, it's easier for a day scholar like me to travel on a daily basis. I'm pursuing core branch in Computer Science of B.Tech course and I'd say the institute provides very good academic support to students. It provides training facilities to every branch in every semester so that the students can be ready for their career. The building is occupied with AC classrooms with smart board arranged and placed in a lot of classrooms. Additionally, the institute is recently accredited with NBA. For the placements, I cannot say much because I'm a second year student and I m not experienced with these facilities but the institute provides training for students. If someone willing to take admission then I'd suggest him/her to take admission in focused courses like AI-ML OR DS instead of core branches like CSE/CST. Highest placement in around 40-50 LPA by an AI-ML senior. Architecture of SAITM can be considered best among the institutions out there. Hostels are in very good conditions as my friends in hostel and has no complains about it. The hostel architecture is also at next level. C-Block has one of the best architecture and facilitated with computer labs and other study equipment.

The course that I'm studying is CSE. In first one year, it will focus on PCM subjects. It will also train you for subjects like C-programming and web-development in this course. Entry requirements are minimum 55% in PCM in 12th standard. It will also provide scholarships according to your percentage in 12th board. In core branch, you'll be able to focus in different variations like Full Stack Development and other fields. It will help you to find your interest and you can take specialized Masters in your particular interest after completing your Bachelors in this course.

The teachers in SAITM usually feels are genuinely invested in helping you learn. They will get you all the support you need. They are usually approachable so if you have any questions, then they will help you and always there for it. They check in for the students daily so they have a strict attendance system for students. Some students may not like the way of teaching because it’s more likely of their style of teaching.

Placement cell is there in SAITM. Major companies like Autodesk, Dell, and other large startup groups participate in placement drive. Cell will make sure to make you well trained for placements. They will first train you for aptitude based tests which will help you to secure your first step in acquiring a job as a fresher. Then they will make sure to help you to improve your communication and speaking skills.

Hostels are well-equipped with modern architecture and every necessity that hosteller needs. There is a GYM and canteen below the hostel. The mess is really large and very beautiful and the furniture and other things are very beautiful in the hostel rooms.

SAITM infrastructure here is a well mix of old school and new modern updates. Some buildings have an older architecture look while some newly built buildings looks very beautiful with a very charming architecture. It’s cozy but sometimes in summers it could have AC problems. Both buildings have well equipped labs with up-to date tech and plenty of study spaces. Classrooms are spacious and the building is occupied with Wi-Fi. The library having an average space for students and has lot of books and essentials every student needs. Overall infrastructure is well comfortable for study and living for a student. There is also a big auditorium for the seminars, competitions, and other academic events.

Campus life is cozy and comfortable. Crowd is good if you are lucky enough then you can find really nice friends in the campus itself. The fest is organized once a year for about 3 days. It has lot of things like competitions, dance and some much known guest will come at the last day of the fest which is like a good concert. Overall, it is a decent institute and can be best if some improvements are made. Obviously, I would to visit the campus before taking admission.
