Life at IIM, Nagpur

Overall Rating
Choosing IIM was a dream come true. Coming from a Tier-3 city, I made an aim to make an impact on my career. Studying here feels like I am free to fly in any direction with countless opportunities to explore. Life at IIM, Nagpur is mesmerizing and it provides an excellent blend of academic and personal development. Although, there are some challenges but every hurdle makes you grow as a person. This institute is a place which everyone looks forward to joining and once you are here, it's a whole new world of possibilities.
 

Academics Rating
I chose IIM Nagpur as it is one the best B-schools in India and my decision will definitely give me a good start for my career. Here, they offer us General Management course and we have our liberty to choose our electives as per our interests. To get to admission in any IIM, you have to prepare for CAT exam. I have given CAT exam and then appeared for interview screening process, and then finally got selected. Eligibility for the exam is that you have to graduate first and then your cut off marks will matter. They also analyze your academic profile and background.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of this institute are really good. Every professor here has a Ph.D qualification in their particular subject. Many of the professors have completed their studies from IIMs itself. The best part is that they arrange counseling sessions for us to improve our communication skills and personalities. Apart from that, some professors already have 20-30 years of experience in corporate industry which gives us a chance to have practical knowledge as well.
 

Placement Rating
IIM is known for the placements. Our Placecom has one of the best Placement Cell because of the main value which is "Nishkam Karma" which works on the principle of helping others without expecting anything in return. So, the cell helps us and guides us on to how to get placed. Also, last year they had 100% Summer internships which is a fabulous thing that IIM, Nagpur regarding placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have excellent hostel facilities. The hostel provided is extremely comfortable, and the rooms are in single-occupancy which has a lot of space for an individual with a balcony. All the rooms contain one study table with lamp and spacious cupboards. Other arrangements include washing machines, water coolers, daily room cleaning services and refrigerators.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The institute has spacious modern infrastructure and academic blocks, smart classrooms, reading room and a well-stocked library. The campus is really beautiful and we have different blocks including academic block, faculty block, executive block, hostels, cafe, mess, essentials in our campus itself. We don't have to go anywhere for our basic things. Here, we have a balanced environment for learning as well as relaxation.
 

Campus Rating
B-school campus life is one of the best experiences one should have in their life at least once. IIM, Nagpur has 21 different clubs, committees, SIGs with innovative orientation and then interview processing. You can choose any one of them as per your interest. Also, the best part is that we have student driven body. Therefore, everything is handled by students only. So, coming here was one of the best decisions I ever made.
