My Views of Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam

Overall Rating
Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam is good, and placements are impressive. Around 10 to 15 percent of students secure placement in prestigious PSUs. However, the only issue is that we do not have a campus. On the other side, the hostels are excellent better than any government (including IITs) or private institute. Moreover, our institute is recognized as an institute of national importance.
 

Academics Rating
Institute offers B.Tech in 3 branches. Chemical, mechanical, and Petroleum Engineering are available for the students after they qualify the prominent JEE Advance exam, which is the toughest exam in India. Academics of this institute are good. Our courses are planned in that way that we automatically prepare for GATE. In addition, we have 75% in our 10th and 12th board.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are excellent. Their way of teaching is also good. They all have PhD from prestigious institute like IITs. Some are from Oxford and MIT.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam has placement cell. They help all students to get job. Since last three years, our institute placement percentage has been around 95 to 100%. In addition, internship is for all students.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good. Rooms are available in double sharing and every room has attached washrooms.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have two building now for now as our campus is under construction. From next year, we will have permanent campus. Nonetheless, library is good as all types of book are in library. Labs are also good enough.
 

Campus Rating
We have an annual cultural fest named ‘Shashwat’. We also have student body council, clubs, and student chapter.

    Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy is the Institute of national importance, they say. College is maintained neat and clean. Every year, we have sports meet that happens for 3 days and there are also many events like freshers, fest that take place. Overall it is a good experience but since it is a new college, the placements are still not up to the mark. We are still trying to improve our placements.... Read Full Review
