Also it's one of the top colleges in Mumbai at Church Gate near Marine Lines which is one of the top most places in Mumbai in India. Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics has the great faculty and student can never feel that they are being ignored. Infrastructure is not that great but it is being developed day by day. The campus is compact but the knowledge you get is more important than the campus. Hence, the academics here are great. I am a former student of Sydenham College Mumbai and will admit to the fact that in recent few years, the college has lost the shine that it had probably 2 decades back. One can gauge the popularity of the college on how active the college is on web. The FB page of the college don’t have any recent post even on web, you will hardly find any details about the college which was once the best college for commerce this side of the Suez. Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics is a 100 years old institute is known for the values that it holds. The college was started by Britishers and is today one of the best commerce college under the University of Mumbai. Growing up in town I had my eyes set on Sydenham college from a very early age and joined it from the junior college itself. It has been a fair time since I passed out and I hope that the landscape must have changed. If you are someone who wants a job after B. Com or BMS then go for entrance test of Symbiosis or NM as they can guarantee you a job but not Sydenham. However, one thing that I would like to share is that they can get you campus placements alright, but their fees is quite high too. At Sydenham, we paid peanuts and graduated.
