Kurnool Medical College is one the most reputed college in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is known to produce talented doctors every year into the society. The teaching faculty is so experienced and talented. A government hospital is present adjoining to the college thus making the students to get most of the clinical knowledge even before internship. Hostels are provided for both girls and boys if they are from distant places. The rooms are good with all required facilities. Food is superb with lot variety of items in the menu. The campus life is also too good. Thus I would recommend this college to you all if are looking to join a medical college in Andhra Pradesh.

The course is of 5 years including an internship of 1 year. There are 3 subjects in the 1st year namely Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry. There are again 3 subjects in 2nd year namely Pathology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology. In the 3rd year there are 2 subjects namely Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine. All the clinical subjects like surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, etc. will be taught in the final year. 3 set of exams are conducted for all batches every year before final exams.

The faculty at the college is extraordinary and very much experienced. I have opted this college only because of this reason. The reputation of the college is also because of such a great experienced faculty here. They are also very friendly with all students clearing all our doubts without any hesitation. They make a PowerPoint presentation before the class and use it to teach various topics with all neat and colorful diagrams in it making it simple to understand.

All the students have sufficient clinical exposure and knowledge because of the adjoining government hospital at the campus. The final year students once passed out are eligible for internship in the hospital and gain much more clinical knowledge about various treatment methods and diseases. Each student in internship gets around 35,000 per month. Once the internship completes the students are required to take the PG NEET exam.

There are 2 hostels one for boys and one for girls. The girl’s hostel is situated within the campus but the boy’s campus is situated 300m away from the campus. The infrastructure in the girl’s hostel is good when compared to boy’s hostel. All the facilities are equally provided well in both hostels. A lot recreational activities are available in the hostel. Also so many sports like basketball ball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, etc. can be played in the hostels. Coming to food, its amazing guys trust me. The food is delicious and a lot variety of items are available every day.

As it is a government college, the infrastructure is not so good but its average I say. It will be good if some of the blocks are renovated. There are so many departments in the college like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, etc. All these departments are situated in different blocks thus the college area is so huge. A government hospital is attached to the campus thus all the students get sufficient clinical exposure and knowledge.

The campus life is extraordinary with good environment. All the seniors are friendly and help us in all aspects. Each Academic year has 250 students so summing up there will be 1000 students as it is a 4 year course excluding internship. Fests are conducted yearly which are an eye feast and very enjoyable. We also celebrate Christmas in a very grand way. We also have sports day, College day, and convocation yearly which are very energetic and enjoyable.
