Christian Medical College is one the best colleges in North India. In 2023, it was ranked 49 all over India. Academics are very good. Here college professors are very experienced and well-qualified. All clinical skills are taught well with hands-on experience on patients and models. Extra-curricular activities here are very good. Many cultural events are organized in the college. Sports facilities are also good. There is a gym inside both boy’s and girl’s hostel. There are many research opportunities provided inside the college.

Course that I have pursued at Christian Medical College is for 5.5 years (4.5 years teaching + 1 year of internship). All students are admitted through NEET only. 12th pass students in physics, chemistry and biology are admitted into the college. There are few seats for open-students. Rest seats are reserved for Christian candidates. Overall the admission process is very easy. The candidate must have scored good marks in NEET and have cleared the cut-off. The college is very good for enrolling. Admission into the college takes place through BFUHS (Baba Farid University Of Health Sciences). The candidate can register through the website and take part in counseling.

The faculty is well-qualified and highly experienced. Most of the professors have been qualified from our college only. Therefore, a student can form bond with them easily. They teach us in a very interesting and engaging way. They have experience of over 20+ years. They are qualified from eminent colleges. They are very much motivating and they motivate students to take part in research and do other work too.

Christian students after completing their degree have to undergo 2 year bond in peripheral mission hospitals. For non-Christian students, there are no placement opportunities. There is 1 year mandatory internship that the students have to do after 4.5 years of teaching in Christian Medical College.

Hostels at Christian Medical College are very old for boys. Rooms are small and washroom facilities are average. For girls the hostel facilities are way better. Food is better than other colleges. There are gym facilities available for both boys and girls hostel. Hostel life is very good.

College since it was started in 1894, has old infrastructure. Academic block and hospital building is old, however proper washroom facilities and proper classes are available. Hospital is equipped with all modern facilities and in teaching blocks, various simulation models are kept for better hands-on experience. There are various simulation labs built in both teaching block and hospital side for better teaching experience.

Students from all states of India and abroad come here to study with us. Majority crowd is from southern India and majority of students are from the state of Kerala. Various cultural events are organized every month. There are many places in Ludhiana to hang around. There are also many clubs in Ludhiana. There is fest organized in CMC named SYSTOLE. It is organized for over 1 month. Overall, campus life is very good at Christian Medical College.
