Views of a 2nd Year Learner in JNEC

Overall Rating
Overall, this college is good. Placements are decent. However, it does teach well. The campus is great with plenty of activities, sports, and greenery. Some students are extremely good. Curriculum feels too basic but you can always learn advanced things from the teachers if you spend extra time. Teachers are very helpful and have enough knowledge. It also keeps extra classes and doubt sessions.
 

Academics Rating
There are several specializations in Engineering in JNEC like Civil, Mechanical, Robotics & AI, AI & DS, Chemical, CSE, etc. I have opted for CSE branch. There are around 180 seats. The college accepts MHT CET, JEE Main and Advanced scores. It also conducts its own test named MGM CET. In MHT CET, percentile greater than 50 is accepted along with any valid score of JEE Main and Advanced are accepted. I chose CSE as I had interest in computers and because of the fact that CSE is currently in the trend.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties teach well. All of them are friendly, co-operate, and understand students. Some faculties teach from the very basic so that everyone is able to understand the advanced. Some of them can little bit improve their style. They do conduct extra classes and doubt sessions when the exams are near. Most of the faculties have multiple degrees and specialize in their fields; some hold PHDs in their field and some are graduated from IIT too. Some prefer black board while some prefer presentations.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell dedicated for each branch. It does provide us opportunities like those that it be partnered with agencies like SHL AMCAT, which help us for acquiring industry knowledge. I think JNEC can improve working of this placement cell.
 

Hostel Rating
No, I haven’t been to the hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is huge the main building itself has 4 floors (4th floor is under construction) + 1 underground floor. There are multiple buildings in the campus, of different branches. The campus has multiple gardens, restaurant, canteen, big cricket ground, big sports ground, basketball court, and gymnastics. CSE department is on third floor of main building, AIDS department is on 2nd floor, and Mechanical and Civil are on 1st floor. other departments are in different buildings. The overall campus is very green with lot of plants, gardens, and trees.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is beautiful. it is a perfect place to hang out with friends. The crowd is average. There are some clubs like GDG, GDSC, and IITB. There is an annual fest named "Razzmatazz”, which is held in January or February. Students participate in it. There are some motivational talks, some of them sell their courses, and products, some of them are valuable. Overall, the campus life is mixed both good and average.
