Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore review

Overall Rating
Overall about Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is Good. I like the college and campus atmosphere. Main reason to choose Amrita is its placement. I am hearing from my childhood that when you studied in amrita you will definitely get placement, your life will be settled. First off all before coming to college. After coming to college I realized that much strictness is not followed there. The main difference in this Institution is that there is a green campus.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech CSE (AI) in Amrita. There is not any motive to choose CSE AI. Current trend is AI so I chose this course. If anybody wants to get a seat in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham they first need to write their exam AEEE and score sufficient rank in AEEE to get scholarship. They are looking JEE main or advanced exam marks. If you have sufficient marks in JEE exam you will get seat. For all courses there is only one exam AEEE. There is no specific exam for specific course in Amrita.
Fees structure is the main thing in here. Fee is very high. I didn't get scholarship here so I entered as non scholarship student. You need to pay 6 lakh for CSE AI branch. Different courses have different fees. According to your AEE rank and all are fess structure is divided.
 

Faculty Rating
I am studying here as 1st year student. My first semester faculty members are average. All my faculty members in the first semester are assistant professor not professor. They don't have teaching experience. It is very difficult to catch up on the topics in first sem. Their method of teaching and everything else is good. All the faculty members teach using a PPT or group discussion. After teaching some faculty members will give questions to solve. This ensured that the students understand whatever is being taught.
 

Placement Rating
I am studying here as first year student so I don't know about the placement, all I have heard id that my current 4th year seniors majority of them didn't get placement from my department. Now placement in Amrita is very less.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good. I got a decent neat room. One room is shared by 4 students. I am satisfied about hostel in Amrita.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Overall the campus infrastructure is good. Our campus size is around 400 acres. My campus is the biggest campus as compared to other Amrita campuses. Classrooms are good with sufficient seating capacity. Strength of my class is 70. While coming to labs, auditorium, seminar halls, everything in good. Our central library is very big with huge area. Our library got some records. We have 3 canteens in our campus and all canteens are good. There is a swimming pool, gym and other sports activities, etc for our physical health.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is average. I am not satisfied with campus Life. Only one good thing is the fest in year that is ‘Anokha’. Only that one fest is good. Other events are average. We can't go out of the campus. If we want to go out we should apply for pass. The pass is approved by warden and advisor. After approval from them only then we can get pass. Our campus is a green campus.

In overall perspective the college is too good that it ranked as one of the top universities in NIRF ranking. Actually I was a JEE aspirant who wished to join in NIT, but now I am pursuing my B.Tech UG (CSE) course in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
