Facilities and Infrastructure at Suryadatta College, Pune

I joined Suryadatta College of Management, Information Research and Technology (SCMIRT) in the year 2023. My overall experience with my college is very great, our institute has great infrastructure and quality ambiance and facilities are very good here. Talking about the courses, our college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University which makes our study material very diverse and vast. The faculty here is very highly qualified most of the teachers have Ph.D in their particular subjects, our college focuses on perfect shaping of a student.

As our college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University students have the freedom to study through reference books and other links as they are comfortable in. Faculty provides great sources of study material which is very helpful for us. I choose BA in Psychology and my motive was to study the human thinking and mood swings. Exams are held per semester which keeps us motivated in case of studies. There is not a very high requirement to enroll in college; students who pass on average in their 12th standard can also get admission here.

The fees structure for my course of BA is Rs. 20,000 which is very decent to pay. Students who belong from reservation quota have to pay less. Scholarships are also provided to the students based on different criteria.

Faculty members will never let you down at SCMIRT. Our faculty is highly qualified and supportive. The teaching method is very clear and clean that we understand very easily. Faculty teaches us through many techniques like presentations, in lab activities, group debates, etc. For every 40 students 1 teacher is appointed. Faculty members are very friendly and supportive as they never let us feel low or depressed. Students enjoy the study and company of faculty.

Suryadatta College of Management, Information Research and Technology provide good placements, as our college has tie-ups with many multinational companies. Companies like ITC, Aditya Birla, and Hindustan Unilever, etc. are among the top placements providers. Average package is of 3 LPA to 6 LPA.

SCMIRT has residential facilities too. The students who are far from home have hostel facilities. There are more than 300+ students as hostellers. We can pay hostel fees per month as hostel charge is Rs. 9,500 with food. Hostel has very particular timings from 6 AM to 10 PM in the night. As some students do part time job outside, so for them there is a relaxation in time to enter back.

SCMIRT has a great infrastructure and ambiance as the facilities are modern and high-tech. Our college is spread in 1.6 acre of land and situated in beautiful and peaceful hills of Bavdhan. Canteen food is too good and hygienic that many times we friends spend our time there. Sports are quite less, that we only get basketball, volleyball and football to play. Indoor and e-sports are available in the college. We have bouncers in our college which make us feel safe as the college is surrounded with CCTV system which provides great security to us. We have Bansi Ratna hall where we celebrate most of our events, Vishvaswarya conference hall for meets, psychology lab, computer lab, internship cabins, gym, and a huge library. My all time favorite place is gym where I feel better.

My overall experience in Suryadatta College of Management, Information Research and Technology is very good and satisfying. It’s my second year now and next year will be my last one, but the attachment and memories in college never wants to leave this place. Our college owns a drama club name Suryadatta club of performing arts which is all under students. Field visits are regular in our college. It has a good number of events and feat all around year. Suryotsava is celebrated in every February as annual day for 5 days, days of February are celebrated, Hindi divas, Natya-Sabha, Bhavya-Kavya and many more events take place throughout year. My experience with college is too great and I will recommend this college to other students as well.
