BIT Mesra Jaipur Campus Admission Process

The institute is overall good and the placements are good as well. However, the main problem is that the companies visit the main campus only for placements. That’s why we have to travel to Mesra in the 7th and 8th semester of engineering, which is very expensive and time consuming.

After giving 12th board and JEE Main, any student can fill out the application form BIT Jaipur. After that, process is done and final allotment is finished through the respective JEE ranking to take the admission. Reservation criteria are also applicable here during the process as in JoSAA counseling handled by government of India. As I am greatly interested in pursue Computer Science Engineering and according to my JEE rank, I feel best to take in it. It conducts exams, and quizzes every week to maintain consistency among students. The course curriculum is same as followed by other top institutes in India. Since the exam papers come from the main campus that is BIT Mesra, the level is good. The papers are also checked in the main campus. There are 2 semesters per year. In one semester, there is one mid sem and one end sem. The faculty is is okay. The head of the departments are really very good and motivate students all the time.

The fee structure is expensive as it is a deemed university. Per semester, the fee is approximately 1 Lakh. Therefore, in total the whole engineering would cost you around 8 Lakh. The scholarship is given to the students whose CGPA is greater than 8 in every semester. The student can avail the scholarship if their family income is less than 3 or 5 Lakh (I don't remember this now what the exact amount is). Actually, the fee is a little on the higher if we compare it with other private institutions. But I think it’s worth it to spend about 12 Lakh in a total of 4 years as tuition fee as we are getting a degree of main campus BIT, Mesra. Here comes a GP Birla scholarship, where students can get relaxation in their tuition fee a got by their rankings in JEE Main.

Every faculty is really experienced having deep knowledge of their subjects. There are also workshops conducted by them on routine. Every faculty holds a doctorate degree, and is very experienced. They are always willing to help students, be it during the lectures or after the lectures. They are hardworking and every teacher keeps motivating students in their own way. Faculty members are good and highly qualified. Some faculty members are from different IITs and from different prominent engineering institutes of India. They have great experience of teaching and working in software companies. So their guidance is really helpful to the students.

In third and fourth year, students have to go for the completion of internship. It depends on students and the organization whether they get some kind of stipend or not. Prominent software companies come here for placements like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Google, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, etc. they offer from 3 to 12 LPA, according to the ability of students. If student has potential, he can certainly get a good job. As earlier said there is a lot of upper hand in terms of placements if we compared it with other private institutions, BITJ has a very good placement cell, especially made for B.Tech students, and starting from 6th sem students can sit in cell. The average package of BITJ is about 9 LPA, especially for the CSE branch. Highest goes upto 30 LPA or more, depending on individual skills and qualities. About 80 to 90% of students were placed every year and the rest go to higher studies. Placement Record: Flipkart came in 2015 and offered around 7 LPA package. Directi offered a package of 14 LPA, Amazon offered 12 LPA, EXL offered 6 LPA, headstrong offered 4 LPA, and Verizon offered 6 LPA.

No hostel facility is provided by the institute. Students have resided in the PGs and Flats near the institute. However, the management of the institute has decided to avail the hostel facilities in the near future.

The campus of BIT Jaipur is compact. The institute has a reading room, classrooms, music room, and library with many books and journals. All of these are air-conditioned. The library opens at 9:30 AM and closes at 5:30 PM. The facilities in classrooms are adequate. It would be better if institute develops some sports facilities for the students. Nonetheless, it can be said that everything is built designed and planned while considering how a student’s life can be made better and disciplined so that students can be directed towards bright future.

It is a campus where students from all over India get admission. So one can meet people from every part of the country. There is no discrimination among the students. There are regular activities held for students. Education quality and standards are very good. There are many clubs and committees and functioning occurs in a continuous manner. There are 3 major events named Tech Vibes, Vibrations, and Cavorts, which are technical, cultural, and sports events respectively and are conducted and all managed by students.
