GVPCE Visakhapatnam's NIRF Ranking and Placements Stand Out

My experience in this college is very good. I got 4,135 EAMCET rank and I got seat in IT department. My seniors suggested me to join this college. I joined this college in 2021 and so far I have the best experience in my college. Our college has no ragging culture and have peaceful atmosphere. Factors that made me choose this college is that it has good NIRF ranking and also has a solid placements in our college. In our college teachers are friendly and have a vast library and good placement record. I think our college is different from other colleges.

I have chosen IT because from my childhood I am more interested in computers and also I got a rank of 4,135 in EAMCET so I opted for IT. The eligibility is that you have to get rank between 2k-5k in EAMCET for IT and to get seat is CSE it may go higher. For every year there will be 2 semester exams that will be conducted and also the subjects they will teach you made us to prepare for real life appliances. For example there will be industry ready programs, where students will learn the complete procedure of a software company and they will help us in training phase.

The fee for my course, B.Tech is Rs. 69,000 per year. This is when they have joined through conveyor category which means through EAMCET. The admission fee that is at the time of registration is approximately Rs. 1,000 rupees. There are scholarships like FFE for students who got below 5k EAMCET rank and are financially weak. They give prize money for academic toppers.

Our college has qualified teachers and has strong knowledge in the subjects. The faculty members are all graduated from top Institutes and also some of them have done Ph.D in NIT and IIT colleges. For 1st year students they will teach us all on blackboard and for 2nd, 3rd and final years they will teach us using PPT’s. If required are at least 4 labs every week. They will clarify the doubts and you can even go to their cabins and ask subject related doubts. In our class there are about 60 students and 1 teacher. If there is any doubt you can ask them or you can also refer to other department teachers. They are friendly and they will give phone numbers to raise concerns and doubt solving sessions. We can meet them in their cabins for any subject related doubts.

There is a placement cell in which they provide guidance and our college has good placement record. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA and average package is 5-8 LPA. The highest package offered by the companies is 24 LPA for 2025 batch.

The college provides hostel rooms but the cost is high and the food is only veg. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The food is hygienic but sometimes it is oily and hostel fee is deposited per year. The hostel timings are strict. You have to be inside the hostel before 9pm.

Our campus size is large and the locality is good. The academic block will have 4 floors and there is a lift too. The classrooms hold big seating capacity and also have digital projectors for PPT’s. The seminar hall is the biggest and it has a seating capacity of around 1,000 students in it. Our library is very large and you don't need to buy books. Referring to library books is enough to prepare for exams. Our canteen food is also good but in college hostel and canteen there is no non veg. food allowed because our college is a Brahmin college. There is a hospital named Gayatri Hospital for our college students and it is free for us. Our college has good options in sports like volleyball, basketball, etc. The cricket ground size is small. My favorite thing in the college is that there is no ragging and you can stay in library up to 7'o clock at night for studying.

I can rate the campus as 3.5/5. Our college is not so crowded and there are social clubs to participate in. I am member in YES club. Our college organizes technical events and workshops so that anyone can engage and learn. One thing that I don't like about my college is that they don't conduct fests. They conduct fests once a year. For me the experience is so good.
