Admissions and Cut-offs at GHRCEM Pune

The college is situated in Pune city. The academics of G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management are really good. The college campus is good and the crowd is also nice. The college has healthy and competitive environment. The students have healthy competition between them and they strive hard to achieve their dreams. This college is really nice in terms of placements. You can also opt for various programs like B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MBA, MCA, etc. Our college also helps students achieve their goals.

I am doing B.Tech in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) and I have chosen this course because I have passion for new technology and artificial intelligence. You can get admission in G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management by state common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET also through JEE Mains. For CS or IT related branches the cut off goes around 91 percentile and for non-tech branches (civil, mechanical, electrical) the cut off is low. You can also get admitted by management quota. Hindi minority students are given more priority. Admissions are done by CAP rounds. The admission process is simple. After admission the college exams are there. There are CAE and TAE exams held in every month and semester exams are also held here. The syllabus is quite up to date and helps in developing both theoretical and practical knowledge.

The yearly fees through CAP admission are Rs. 1, 50,000 for general category students. The fees for OBC students are around Rs. 40,000 and for ST / SC / PwD candidates is Rs. 20,000. The fees include various things such as tuition fees, development fees, exam fees, books, uniform fees and lab fees. There are also various scholarships provided. There is EBC scholarship for tuition fees and Punjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship for hostel students. Our HOD also informs us about various private scholarships time to time.

The number of faculty is good. There are enough teachers for every branch and every class. Not more than 2 or 3 divisions are allotted for single teacher. The faculty is very qualified and most of them have completed their Ph.D and masters in their subjects. The teacher uses blackboard or smart board or projector for teaching. They also provide us notes and ppts. Question banks are also given for every subject before examinations. The teachers also provide us practical knowledge. The teacher-student ratio at G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management is maintained properly. The faculty member is quite supportive and also helps in solving academic as well as non- academic problems.

There is a special placement cell in our college which looks up to the placement of the students. The training and placement cell is very active in its work. The cell conducts various sessions and training program for students. They are also responsible for inviting good companies in college for college placements. Approximately 50-60 companies visit our college for placements. Some companies which come in our college are Amazon, Google, Wipro, TCS, Mahindra, Infosys, LG, Godrej, etc. The highest package till now is 45 LPA and lowest package is of 3 LPA. The average package is around 7-8 LPA. Overall there is a good placement ratio in our college.

The college also has hostel facilities for girls as well as boys. There are separate buildings for hostels. The hostel also has lift facilities. The intake is around 160 students. Each room has 4 students. The hostel rooms are quite big and each room has separate washroom facilities. The rooms also have cupboards, study table and chairs are also provided. The mess food is of good quality and tasty. Hygiene is maintained everywhere in the hostel rooms as well as mess and also while making food. The hostel food includes tea and breakfast, lunch, evening tea and snacks and dinner. Different types of dishes are made on special occasions. The hostel also has its gym, study rooms and swimming pool facilities. The annual fees of hostel including mess are Rs. 1, 00,000. The hostel is also strict about rules and the in time is around 8.00pm for girls and 10.00pm for boys. Hostel is secure for girls as well as boys.

The college has good infrastructure. The college is located in Wagholi and it is 1km from the bus stop. The campus is also large. There are two academic buildings. There is ground between them. One turf ground is also there. The campus has its own parking are and the hostel buildings also comes in the area of the campus. There are many classrooms. There are separate libraries and canteens for both the buildings. There are seminar halls for organising various events. G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management has its own transportation facilities such as buses and vans. For students who like sports there are two grounds and good sports equipments. My favorite place is the campus ground where everyone sits and has fun. The classrooms are big and have smart board facilities. There are computer labs, physics lab, chemistry labs and also workshop for students which help them in gaining practical knowledge.

The campus life is quite good and busy. There is hustle and rush every day. The college crowd is good. There are many clubs in the college such as music and dance club, drama club, toastmaster, coding club, etc. There are many events and workshops or extracurricular activities for students to participate in. The college has its own fest called as Antaragini. There are several days celebrated in college such as traditional day, Bollywood day, mis-match day, etc. There are also many techs related and interesting events conducted by the college. Many festivals are celebrated in college. The campus life is very good and encourages students to achieve their goals and interests.
