Barkatullah University is a State university and it provides excellent education to the students. The university is situated near about Rani Kamlapati Railway station. I chose this university because I wanted to take admission in a Government university. The environment of the university is very peaceful because it is surrounded by large number of trees. The faculties are very knowledgeable. I had a great experience at the university.

The university offers many programs across different streams. I scored 94 % in my 12th class I took admission in the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program at the university. I chose this course because it can help me prepare for UPSC Drug Inspector exam. The eligibility criteria for this course is completing 12th class with science stream (PCM / PCB). The admissions are conducted on the basis of class 12th results. The admission process of this university includes student counselling which is conducted on the campus of the university. Each year has approximately 60 to 70 seats. The university organises semester-wise exams. The course curriculum provides students in-depth knowledge about Medicine.

The fee is paid during the time of admission which is approximately Rs 51,000. Many scholarships are provided by the university for SC /ST/ OBC category students. The scholarship amount is ranges from Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 55,000. The full fee is returned to students who have obtained merit based scholarships. State or Central Government scholarships can also be availed by the students such as the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojna.

The faculty of the university is highly qualified and provides personalized guidance to the students at every step of their educational journey. The teachers were very helpful they always supported us for studies and other activities. There are 10 to 15 faculties for each semester available at the university.

The university offers accommodation facilities to the students which are separately available for male and female students. It has 3 girls’ and 3 boys’ hostels. The hostel environment is safe as it has anti-ragging cells. There are many rules and regulations for helping students. There mess serves food 3 times per day. It has good quality North Indian vegetarian food. We celebrated many festivals like goddess Durga Puja and Diwali at the hostel.

The campus of the university is very large. The university has big departmental libraries along with a well-stocked a central library. There is a big ground where students can play various sports like Cricket and Football. There are 5 to 6 labs where we practice many products like ORS, Suspension, Lotion, etc. as prescribed in our books.

The campus life of the university is very good. There are many students from MP, UP. Bihar, Rewa and other nearby districts. The university conducts various engagement activities like woman protection and anti-ragging awareness events.
