Invertis University BJMC Review By Pankaj Garg

I was surprised to see that in my hometown there’s university that has its own entrance test for admissions. Soon did I realize though that it was a joke kind of entrance. I felt like stupid to give the entrance as I saw my friends coming to Invertis University and asking for admissions. They were given a one-page form and after that were asked to pay the fees. As soon as the fees was paid, voila they all were in. My thoughts are straight about the university and they are that if you are a bright student and can study on your own, then get in. If you are someone who feels life is fun if they don’t have to attend the college and just has to chill in life then also the Invertis University Bareilly works the best for you. Passing here was a joke as I still remember I didn’t even submit the stupid project that I was assigned and still I saw I was given good numbers in the internals. However, you will get a degree but you will never be able to find or crack a job as the degree from Invertis is indeed a waste.

College’s chancellor is into politics so not just students but even the faculties were asked to campaign for him. If the chancellor doesn’t care about the academics here then who does. The course was copied from some of the top media school as we read exactly the same things that are included in DU colleges for the same course. The only difference was that they were taught in the classes while in our class if there’s an election in any state of India mean we will discuss that for at least five minutes in every class. I could never figure out the academics here but I hope the ones who have decided to join Invertis Bareilly will experience the same that I did.

I could have imagined a university without competent faculties but at Invertis the faculties couldn’t be even be called faculties. So, so poor that if they can teach anyone randomly from the crowd too can. Almost half the faculty panel consisted of freshers and some who were to some extent potent with teaching realized that their hands are tied and it’s rather better off staying away from the internal matters of the university. The gist of the matter is that they would hardly come to take lectures and what we had to deal with is doing self-study. The best part though was they hardly failed students as you can study for a night and write any damn answer but you will at least get passing marks.

Mass Communication is a course where students are taken on ground zero and work with the best in the industry. Here there was nothing like that as virtual thing were created at the campus and that is how we were trained. If nobody has seen our potential, it was quite obvious that they won’t come and hire us. Firstly, we didn’t had any skill set that were developed and secondly there was no confidence either, so it was better off to search for some good options and learn journalism in and out. Thus, I left the university shattered as my graduation degree was of no use.

There are four boy’s hostels inside the campus and each one of them looked the same. It’s the block numbers that is A, B, C, and D that separated them. Invertis University hostels were kind of cheap and the quality of rooms were ok. The food part was average as I saw some of the hostellers looking out for better food options once in a while and rest of the time, they used to have it at the mess only. The hostels stayed full all throughout which means they were highly in demand.

The infrastructure part was probably the nicest thing about the university as all three admin blocks and library were centrally air-conditioned. There were four seminar halls at the campus and each one of them beautiful than the other. The campus is known for its flora as there was a huge garden filled with plants that had some amazing flowers blossoming each day. The cafeterias were the piece of attraction as both the cafes (one indoor and one outdoor) had something about them. The food was a little expensive though considering its Bareilly. Sporting facilities were average though but overall, the infrastructure was good.

The world class auditorium of Invertis University campus has witnessed some of the most pathetic lectures and performances as nobody performed with heart at the university. The mantle was always on the students and for reasons everyone was just biding their time at the campus. So, I even succumbed to campus life here and would advice everyone to stay away from such pathetic universities.
